Enzo

She's been gone for nearly a month. From the moment I woke up, I've been searching high and low for her all over the country. There's still no sign of her; she vanished without a trace.

"You were told to rest up. You were shot, Enzo. You're no good to her injured. She's going to need you when we find her," Ryka says as he enters my office. I've barely slept since she's been missing. I've barely eaten and barely showered—it's wasted time that I could use trying to find her. But he's right; I haven't rested since I was discharged early from the hospital, even though I promised I would rest until I was healed.

"Please, Enzo. We can't lose you as well. We need you sharp." I sigh and make my way over to my bedroom.

"Fine, but if there are any updates, you wake me up." He nods and leaves me to rest. I've had the whole team searching for her since the day I woke up. I need her back. Even though it's been a short while of knowing her, she's wormed her way into my life and my heart.

"Boss, we have a lead." I'm sitting in my office when Ryka comes in. I rush with him down to the headquarters where most of the men work.

"Lorenzo isn't the boss of the Mexican mafia; his cousin Marcus took over a few years ago due to a health scare on Lorenzo's part. Marcus was spotted a few days ago at a gas station on 56th Street. We also managed to find out about their next business deal. It's tonight at 11 p.m. at the Grand Mansion on 58th Street."

Finally, I can get my girl back. I've heard some ruthless things about Marcus. He has no mercy and no guilt. It's okay, my little clover. I'm coming to get you. I'll have you in my arms very soon.

All day, we have been planning our attack strategy to ensure no one but them gets hurt. We can't afford to lose any more men. But no matter what, I'll get my girl back.

"Right, does everyone understand the strategy? Ryka stands guard at the main entrance. Rico and Tezca, you two go inside and take out the men in my way from seeing my girl. The rest of you stand guard outside the back entrance and make sure no one escapes. But Marcus is mine."

Everyone parts ways to ensure they have all the weapons they're going to need. I head up to my bedroom and grab my guns and knife. I strap them to myself and catch my reflection in the mirror. My under-eyes are purple from lack of sleep, my suit is pressed, and my weapons are hidden. I sigh at the state of myself and go down to join the others to leave.

We arrive at the house 20 minutes later. It is hard to find, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees for miles—no way of escaping. I'm dreading what my poor girl has been through, but I need to keep my head straight and focus on the task at hand. I whisper into the walkie-talkie to make sure everyone is ready, and when I get the go-ahead, I nod to my friends and walk inside
