I Still Remember (Laxus x Oc)(Au)

chapter 1 - Prologue

Cynthia, Jade and Elwin were best friends having been raised together from childhood. The three were practically siblings with how close they were.

Where one went they all went, if one was late they were all late.

As the group aged there bond slowly changed. The trios inseparable nature would begin to crack.

"Come on guys let's take a short cut, if we're late again we won't be allowed on the class trip" Elwin suggested, pointing to the walking path that cut through the woods.

Jade looking uneasy spoke up "I dunno El, we haven't been that way in a while. Plus the weather is supposed to get bad soon." Elwin laughed at her cowardice.

"Since when did the fearless Jade become such a downer. We've taken this path a thousand times before, it knocks off 10 minutes from our walk you know that" El poked fun at the girl. "Come on El that's not very nice of you" Cynthia frowned, half heartedly defending the other girl in the group.

"What! It's true!" El said exasperatedly. Both girls giving him a synchronized eye roll. "Fine fine, If you don't wanna go you don't have to but I'm taking the path" El stepped off the concrete path and onto the dirt one leaving the girls to make their own decision.

"Gosh what's gotten into him recently" Jade sighed shaking her head. "I'm not sure Jay, but I don't want him taking that path alone. You okay walking alone today? I'll wait at the front for you, yeah?" Cynthia gave a sorry smile as she followed after the boy.

"Yeah ... I'll be fine Cyn" Jade said just loud enough for herself to hear "see you at school!" Jade waved to the two and continued on following the sidewalk.

"Wait up El, why are you walking so damn fast!" Out of breath Cynthia finally caught up with Elwin.
"What's up with you recently, you seem so...I don't know stressed?" Cynthia couldn't seem to find the right words.

"I'm not stressed Cyn, I just...I...gosh" Elwin trailed off. "...El... You okay?" Cynthia asked worried

Elwin stopped walking, and turned to face the girl. "Don't worry, I'm okay Cyn. I've just been thinking a lot is all...." El scratched his head nervously avoiding eye contact with the girl

"You ever look at someone and get butterflies?" He asked simply, shoving his hands into his pockets.

A barely visible blush made it's way to Cynthia's face. "Uh..I mean yeah I guess. B-but why ask me that though?" Her Confusion very evident.

Elwin pulled his hands from his pockets stepping close to Cynthia. He gently brushed a stray hair out of her face as he looked down at her. "E-El..." She whispered looking up at him

Elwin gently cupped her cheek, his emerald eyes gazing into her purple ones. Cynthia brought one of her hands up holding onto his. She relaxed leaning her face into his hand

"You're so pretty Cinny" he smiled sweetly at the girl who was puddy in his hands. A soft pink blush shown on her cream colored cheeks.

El gently rested his forehead against hers. Their noses being the only thing keeping their lips apart.

The two locking eyes mesmerized by one n other. No words were needed, the two knew how the other felt.

Little water droplets graced the pairs faces as they both leaned in, a soft kiss being shared between the two.

As they pulled away Elwin was the first to speak, "looks like Jade was right about that rain" he sighed backing away from Cynthia giving her a bright smile "let's hurry out of here before it gets to bad" Elwin grabbed Cynthia's hand lacing their fingers together. He gently led her along further down the path.
