In a world where war was frequent, love and humanity had no place. Humans lost their compassion for each other and learned power was the true gift to fight for. Endless battles for land, money, and power reigned throughout the world.

To survive was like entering a rat's race in an endless maze to find happiness and security. To rule was to succeed, meaning you are worthy of a valuable place in the world. Power was essential, but the competition was immense; the chances of winning were lower than minimal. Bloodshed was common in every country, big or small.

This was no exception to Balhae, the unrivaled kingdom that did everything in its power to take, sucking its neighbors dry of their resources, and Platonia, the smallest yet fiercest kingdom. Before The Great War, Balhae wasn't so dominant; it had forcefully taken weapons and resources from its neighbors. Both were sworn enemies, struggling to destroy one another. As small as Platonia was, they demanded justice for the wrongs Balhae committed and never gave up in attempting to take them over.

To Balhae, the small country was like a stick in their path but they couldn't eradicate the country no matter what they did.

The war between Balhae and Platonia was a bloody one, one that Balhae couldn't afford to lose. But, they lost the battle and thus, their king's head too. The only heir to the throne was Park Jimin, the late king's youngest son. It was clear he schemed to continue with his father's plan to ruin Platonia.

But, when Yu Nabi, a small-time thief from Platonia is forced to participate in a mission to assassinate the crown prince, architectured by the king of Platonia himself, will she be able to continue? Will Park Jimin stand on his vow to avenge his father's death?

Will the two sworn enemies remain enemies?
