The Rendezvous (On-Going)

Chapter 3

I really felt dizzy after writing in the notebook Trystan bought. For some reason, I wasn't like this when typing in the computer, kaya nga I preferred writing it down first kasi I wanted to rest my eyes from my screen's radiation. But maybe it's because I was writing two stories at the same time.

I just got out of work and Bria told me earlier that she can't accompany me going home because she has a book signing to attend. Okay lang naman dahil mas prefer ko mag isa ngayon habang nag-iisip pa kung paano ko masosolve yung problema ni Grace or hayaan ko muna.

Since wala naman ako gagawin pagkauwi, I remembered when Trystan mentioned na may autism si Bren, so I went in a toy store inside the mall, and asked for toys good for children with autism, para sa susunod na pag bisita niya may maibibigay naman ako sa kanya.

Baka mataas din IQ nung bata, so I bought different types of Rubik's cube, and a spiderman blanket. When I was about to pay at the counter,  I unexpectedly saw Fred there. Or was that really him?

I did not approach him as soon as I confirmed that it was him kasi magbabayad lang rin sana ako kaso for sure makikilala niya ako. I hid behind the boxes of Legos, para hindi niya makita. Ayoko siya makausap baka may maramdaman nanaman akong hindi ko na dapat maramdaman sa kanya. Plus, he's with his new...boy?!

After he paid for some game console, there was a guy who held his hand! Napacover naman ako ng mouth dahil hindi ako makapaniwala sa nakita ko. Kaya ba hindi ako enough? Kasi wala akong magic wand?! Or may gender crisis lang siya at naging tulay niya ako? Ewan ko na!

After nilang makalabas sumunod na rin ako nang makalayo layo sila ng isang store, susundan ko pa sana kaso biglang narinig ko yung alarm ng toy store. Fuck. Hindi pa ko bayad!

"Sumunod nalang po kayo ma'am sa office namin." Their guard went towards me holding my basket kaya sumunod nalang ako dahil wala akong choice. Nakakahiya for sure they saw me na nag cause ng alarm. So much for hiding Asaka, another day another slay talaga self.

I did not bother calling Bria, kasi this story is a lot better to tell her in person. "So your ex and I met 2 weeks ago, and hindi ko inakala na he was such an introvert kasi ang angas niya mag perform sa mga gigs ng banda nila."

That was Deither talking. Binalikan nila ako ni Fred nung nag alarm yung sa Toy Store. Fred knew that I was watching them behind the Lego boxes, he just let me do what I want kaya hindi niya daw pinahalata na alam niya. Damn this guy.

"So inapproach ko siya and pinansin naman niya ako. Also, kinda flattering kasi he never entertained anyone daw ever since you two broke up." I didn't actually expect that I'd be cringing at Deither's way of storytelling. It's cute but I don't think they'd last long. Fred's look doesn't seem genuine. Or judgmental lang ako at insecure kasi I did my best and everything to Fred pero wala lang lahat para sa kanya.

"Then? Nasense mo ba na bading to?" I curiously asked as I pointed my hands at Fred.

"No. This relationship's still part of his "knowing thy self" niya and it's fine with me. He let me love him." Fred was looking at me while Deither was telling their lovely meeting and how they got together, then when Deither looked at him he looked quickly at him too.

I really felt something was off with everything, especially tonight! How come that Deither agrees with Fred sa getting to know himself. He's so selfish!

"I don't know with you Deither but... What the fuck Fred? Selfish ka pa rin? Hanggang ngayon trial and error ka pa rin? Pero mas okay na siguro sa part na aware si Deither but, how can you not know yourself on your own without using other people?!"
