- EDDIE'S P.O.V -
"Hey, Buck. This is my 5th call to you, if you got this, just call me back, okay? Shift's about to start in an hour." I put down my phone.
Why is he not answering?
I forced myself to not overthink whatever was happening to him.
After our first shift together, I dropped him off at his apartment and we had dinner at my place. But that was, like, months ago.
"Dad." Christopher walked in the kitchen. "Any call from Buck?" He asked.
We were supposed to go together but not to the firehouse but at Bobby's and Athena's house for his surprise party.
"No calls yet. How about you get ready, I'll drop you off to Bobby's and Athena's house and I'll pick up Buck, okay? I'll try calling him again." I said, and Chris left the room.
I dialed Buck's number again but he still didn't answer.
"Dad, let's go!" I heard Chris said and I grabbed my keys and went outside.
I locked the door and dropped Chris to Bobby's and Athena's.
"Eddie!" Bobby greeted us when we walked inside. "Where's Buck?" He asked when he noticed that he wasn't behind me.
"Yeah, where is he?" Hen asked too.
Chris left and joined Harry, Denny and May who were playing cards.
"He wouldn't answer my texts or return my calls so-." I got interrupted when Hen spoke.
"Oh, my god. Are you two fighting?" She said.
"Yeah, is he mad at you?" Bobby also said.
"What did you do?" Chimney butted in.
"What-? No! We're not fighting or anything. We're fine." I defended.
"Oh, defensive." Chimney hissed.
"Maybe you did something wrong that you didn't know you did and that's why he's not answering." Hen added.
"Are you guys seriously making me overthink, right now?" They smirked, and I sighed, "Look, we didn't fight or anything. And I didn't do anything wrong-not that I know of."
"Well, that's Buck-he knows how to hide his feelings, you know." Chimney said.
I scoffed and said, "We're not fighting."
"Okay..." Hen nodded. "You go pick him up, then. The food's waiting." She smiled teasingly and suspiciously, and left.
I scoffed and rolled my eyes.
I took my phone and checked if Buck texted me, but still nothing. He was probably still asleep. I went to my car and put my phone on the glove box.
Of course their words didn't get into my head. I mean, I didn't even do anything wrong.
Or maybe I did? I couldn't really remember. Buck and I had been together for months and everything was perfect. But what if it was perfect for me, not for him? What if he needed something that I didn't give to him? What if he-
Yep. I took back what I said-their words definitely did got into my head. And I didn't like every single thing that I was thinking about now.
I let out a sigh, started the car and drove off.
- BUCK'S P.O.V -
I just woke up.
I rubbed my eyes and took my phone from my table. I opened it and looked at the time.
