💋*olivia's pov*💋

"come on! it'll be fun!"

kika said already throwing my clothes on to the bed. i knew i didn't really have a choice, when kika set her mind on something it will happen.

"and beside, you guys are friends right?"

she said picking up a dress and looking at it. "i mean yeah" i said hesitantly "but still, i haven't really talked to the man in over a year"

exactly one year and one month.

after the break up we both decided to have no contact at least for the first months so we could move on easier. we both broke it a couple times but eventually we managed to move on and i hadn't really talked to him since.

i mean of course i stalked his, mclaren, his family and friends social medias, and wanted to text him but nothing really came out of it. except me finding myself smiling while looking at pictures of him.

i get snapped out of my thoughts by kika rambling "i mean it's not even that big of a chance that you'll see him"

she was kinda right, the first time i was at the paddock i didn't see him. it wasn't before the after-party we met.

"alright"

kika's head did what looked like a 360 "really?! you'll come?" "i looks like it" i said with a small smile

when i thought about it i was honestly kinda looking forward to it. i hadn't been in a paddock for so long and i kinda missed it. over the year me and lando were together i spent a fair amount of time there and it quickly became one of my favorite places. i don't know if it was all the amazing people or just the vibe but there was some sort of comfort spending time in the paddock.

kika comes running over to the bed and jumps on top of me, bringing me into a tight hug. "i'm so happy! you won't regret it!" she sang as she hugged me tighter as the seconds went on.

i laugh at the girl's response to me agreeing with her "but if you want me to come you should probably loosen your grip, so i can breathe"

she dropped her arms immediately "sorry" she laughed out. in one motion she was standing right in front of me with her hands reaching out for me.

"let's pack then."

"you start, i need to make sure someone can watch ollie" i've had ollie for a couple years now and he's literally my everything. it's really cheesy but i didn't understand what people meant when they said that dogs are humans best friends until i got ollie. he's literally my best bud.

even though the break up was mutual and peaceful didn't mean that it didn't hurt. lando was the first guy i had loved and been in a long term relationship with. after it ended i was broken for weeks but as time passed i felt better by each day. i mean it happens that i still think about him every now and then but i really think that i have gotten over him. like it's been over a year, i should be over him.
