[Marion]
Demons were spotted. Hoards of them on the ground and in the sky atop wiveryns, headed for small settlements in the north. They finally had gotten the first call to fly out.
Marions' skin buzzed with excitement. She hadn't seen a good battle in weeks, and she needed the release of energy. Her and Brilah sheathed their weapons from the armory before Brilah headed to the stables.
Out of the corner of her eye, Marion spotted the Dargons. The prince, Xander, and his trusty companion, Varin. Marion used this chance to study Xander. He'd only been with her clan for a few days, but even still, every Moruga woman had seemed to throw themselves at him. A group of women walked passed him, batting their eyelashes. Disappointing. How easily they forgot about their clan alliance when a handsome man arrived. Although, it wasn't hard to see why. His jet black hair swayed in the wind, framing his angular jawline. Marion's gaze traveled down his wide shoulders, his broad chest, and then it caught on his tight leather flying pants accentuating his firm behind.
"What's happening?" Varin yelled to her, snapping her from her brief daze.
Marion walked confidently towards them. "Demons. Wiveryn. Headed near a mountain town." When she reached them, Varin looked at her with wide eyes while Xander still dawned his usual annoyed face. Spoiled prince. "You will fly out with us." Marion ordered. "Your dragons will be of great use to us in the skies, while others battle on the ground."
Varin nodded, looking anxiously towards Xander. Xander continued to glare at her. She noticed his jaw tick with the effort of grinding his teeth. His challenge amused her.
"Unless, you Dargons are too afraid? I can have you watch after the children instead?"
"We'll fly out with you." Xander snapped. Marion gave him a satisfied smile.
"Good."
