What needs to be done for a better world

Story update.

11/18/2025:

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. My PC died a few months ago, and I didn't have the budget to replace it right away. I'm finally getting ready to look for a new one, something with fairly high specs since I'm quite the gamer, that's why it took some time to save up. Because of this, I haven't written much of the story continuation since I really dislike writing on my smartphone.

I'll do my best to work on a new chapter and share it with you all as soon as I have my new setup. Thanks for your patience, and sorry again for the long wait. See you soon!

05/12/2025:

Welp, that took far longer than I would have liked to but I was stuck on what to write for this chapter. I know what I wanted to write, but not how to link every part to the others or what to include and what not to include here. I decided to shorten it a bit since there was another part I had originally planned to add here but I thought it was more fitting to end the chapter as it ended here. 

I hope you will like the chapter nonetheless, if you have any question/remarks or anything really to say about the story, feel free to say it!

I'll try to be faster in my releases but I can't promise anything as I'm trying to keep the consistency of the story to the top.

11/16/2024:

This part took longer to write than I originally expected. I found myself running in circles trying to find the best way to put everything I had in mind into words. While it was finished some time ago, I still found areas that didn't quite match what I had envisioned, so I spent some extra time reworking them until they felt right.

I decided to split the chapter into two parts because it ended up being a bit too long (~13k words). I find it harder to maintain focus on a chapter when it's that lengthy, and I'm sure some of you might feel the same way. This section is largely focused on the background story for Sam and Ray.

I can't say for sure when the next chapter will be ready, as I haven't started working on it yet, and with my work schedule, it'll be a little while before I can dive in. But I'm looking forward to getting started as soon as I can.

Hello everyone, to begin with, I would like to thank you for reading until this point. It's my first time actually writing a story (I did write ideas and short passages for a story, but nothing really as detailed as this one is).

The next chapter is almost complete, but there are a few points I'm not entirely satisfied with. I don't want to release a half-finished chapter, as that doesn't sit well with me.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about the story so far, please feel free to ask. Although the story is still in its early stages, your feedback is invaluable. If there's anything you don't understand or think needs reworking, I'd love to hear your thoughts and discuss them here.

This update might appear and disappear between story passages as I work on it, so don't be alarmed.

I can't provide a definite release date for the next chapter, but I hope it will be soon.
