Chapter Twenty: A Brighter Future (Epilogue)
Kiadaria stood on the balcony of the royal headquarters, gazing out at the expansive landscape. Her heart is full of tranquility as she feels an overwhelming pride over her life and where she finds herself now, as Queen Luna over all wolves. She never saw this day for herself.
She thinks about her relationship with Joshua, all of the ups and downs. Kiadaria had been so afraid to accept him as her mate and become his luna, not knowing that loving Joshua was so much bigger than the Rising Moon pack alone. The question was never if she would become his luna but if she would accept her fated choice and become queen of all wolves; Joshua as her fated King of Alphas and divine partner.
Now she realizes that her fear to be in love with him had all been planned by the wicked desires and dark magic of Darius of the Shining Moon pack. On one side, her spirit knew her destiny, even when she did not, and was afraid of the bigger things ahead, while Darius' curse made Joshua someone he was never meant to be.
The journey that led to this moment hadn't appeared this big until it began. From the struggles with her own identity and feelings to the battles with Darius' evil plans, their path had been obscured with challenges. Yet, through it all their love became stronger and purpose more clear.
Joshua joins her on the balcony after a little moment. He smells clean and masculine as his arms circle around her from behind. His voice portraying admiration. "We've come a long way Queen luna, my love." He whispers as his chin gently rests a top of her head.
Melting into his embrace, Kiadaria finally feels that they've made it. The weight of the past years and this journey melting away. "I can't believe it but we made it."
As they stood their, they each reflected on their thoughts and feelings. They think about their new lives and the future they are building together. As the rulers of all wolves, they have been charged to work tirelessly to establish the matriarchy and restore peace and prosperity. Their love having become the stuff that makes fantasy and inspires hope.
Joshua's thoughts appear to mirror her own, as he speaks. "That we sure did my love, we made it, but now there is still so much to do. I'm honored to be your King, your partner and to craft the future that lies ahead."
Kiadaria nods, her heart barely containing her joy and excitement. She knows their union is not just a marriage of two hearts but it is the union of the packs and a new beginning for their world.

The defeat of Darius still lingered in their minds, especially for Kiadaria, as a reminder of the darkness they faced. His downfall had been the test of fate that proved their worthiness and unlocked the destiny that now enshrines them with much peace and closure; the new era of peace and matriarchy. The Shining Moon pack rejoined it's sister pack The Rising Moon pack where some of the strongest, bravest and most magical of all wolves are born and developed. Now the sister packs are free to fulfill the purpose of the Mother Goddess to serve the Queen Luna and King Alpha as the royal courts.
As they leave the past memories and return to the present, Kiadaria and Joshua knew this moment was the pinnacle of their present journey. The prophesy had spoken of two souls, bound together across lifetimes, who would overcome and ancient darkness to bring the rightful return of the Mother Goddess' natural order, matriarchy, peace, and unity to wolf kind. And now, as they seal their bond in a formal matebond ceremony, they know they fulfill that ancient prophesy.
The air is filled with anticipation, as the pack's elder, a wise and spiritual woman named Ava stepped forward to lead the ceremony. She spoke of the ancient bond between Joshua and Kiadaria, the trials they faced, and their divine love that allowed them to conquer all.
As Ava finished speaking, Kiadaria and Joshua turned to one another, their eyes locked in a deep and spiritual gaze that expresses the ocean of love and respect in which they regard one another. They proclaim their matebond and the acceptance before all but also exchange vows promising to love and cherish one another, to stand together against all future challenges and crisis, and to rule all packs with wisdom and justice.
And then, in that old gesture that has forever mirrored the spiritual bond of love, they share a kiss that ignites an eruption of cheers and celebration.
As Kiadaria's and Joshua's lips parted, the packs' cheers and applause envelope them, it's a deafening boom of joy and faith. The two rulers smile at the happy and hopeful faces that look up to them. In this moment, they know it is the divine power of love...that mirrors the Mother Goddess and Father God, that made all of this possible.
The prophesy now sealed , Kiadaria and Joshua's matehood is the foundation on which the future of wolf kind is building upon, a beacon of hope for generations to come.
Kiadaria traces the small delicate mark on her wrist, the symbol of their eternal bond, and Joshua's eyes follow hers as he smiles with pride and accomplishment, his own mark glowing softly upon his wrist.
Together, they raise their hands as they wish to speak to their people. Kiadaria's voice rings out with the luna power. "We are united in our love and destiny. Now enters the age where womankind in the seat that was always hers, will return to rule with wisdom, justice, and compassion. We will protect and defend our kind and build a future that brings honor to all."
Joshua looks at her, his eyes shining with admiration. For a moment he doesn't realize his silence as he is captivated by the queen that Kiadaria has become, that a part of him always knew she would be. He cleared his throat of emotion before speaking. "Much as I am honored to support and bow to our Queen Luna, we stand united and honored to lead, to serve, and to love all of you. We will face the unknown future ahead, knowing that there will be challenges but we vow to face them together: as one kind, one pack, and one united heart."
The pack erupts in cheer. Some are weeping and some are overcome with joy that they leap. Kiadaria and Joshua share another kiss, their love burning hotter and more honestly than ever. And that brings us to the end of their story...the tale of love, destiny and the unbreakable bond of two souls- the luna's fated choice.
