I watched as Oakwood led Midnight out of the Library, "Can she be trusted?" I asked My Aunt. She tilted her head up, her eyes going glassy. "Yes, Maybe? Honestly, it's split evenly. She either betrays us to her people or she joins us." Rosette shrugs. "I don't trust her. No one can be that innocent." I say leaning back on the pillows. "I trust her, she seems nice. Unlike you guys" Ivy chirps, her eyes darting up from her book. "You trust everyone," Chloe joins in the conversation.

"Well don't disclose all our information but the best thing to do is not kill her," Rosette shoots me a glance. "And make her feel at home and safe. If we treat her like a threat she will become one. If we treat her like family she will become family." I snort at the thought. "I Mean It. She belongs with us." Ivy nods at her Mother.

"I think I'm gonna bring her Star, she could use a familiar snout." She laughs at her own joke. "Bye Mum," She bounds out the door and I watch her go.

"What are we going to do about the attacks on the villages?" I ask, pulling a map out of my bag and laying it on the floor in between the three of us. Rosette exhales a burst of flame and I back away. I don't plan on evaporating anytime soon. Seven tiny dots of red fire, Thirteen orange flames and over forty yellow flames float over various areas of the map.

After studying the map for what seems like days I trudge back to my room and lay down. Falling asleep the moment my head hits the pillow.

My brother tossed me onto my bed and tickled me. Icy jumped onto his broad back, tickling him till he focused on her. I jumped onto his back reaching around his broad stomach and digging my small fingers in. Koltyn grunted and collapsed onto the bed laughing. Icy took the opportunity and helped me pin him down. Our brother surged up and swiftly pulled Me and Icy off his back and pinned us down. Hours later we fell asleep, our brother still laying on top of us.

Yawning, I wiggled out from under my brother. He just flopped his head sagged and his mouth was wide open, his deep chocolate brown hair spilling across his forehead. Icy crawled out from under him, eyes bright. Ice blue hair messy from wrestling the night before. She kicked his shoulder to get her other ankle free. He didn't stir, Icy just stood there for five minutes and then left the room. I stood there waiting for him to awake. He didn't, I had waited all morning then through the afternoon. At nightfall our father stormed in demanding why he wasn't at training.

He paused when he beheld him laying there. Father turned toward me, his eyes sparked full of cold rage. I stuttered and explained how he had been asleep all day. Father snarled and drew his dagger. I screamed as he plunged the blade into Koltyn's stomach. Father whirled around and tried to stab Me. I ducked and spun, kicking his chest. It did nothing, he caught my foot and twisted it and then dropped me. I let out a cry of pain as my ankle was broken.

He slashed the blade across the back of my opposite ankle to stop it from trying to kick him in the gut. Tears poured from my eyes as I lay there. Convinced I was going to die. But unlike real life nothing faded. I didn't wake up to my mother healing me and telling me to run. No, I stayed there slowly aging. Ten, Twenty, thirty, fifty, A hundred. I layed there for thousands of years unable to move. But death never came. Just pain.

A Scream Ripped from my throat as I sat up in bed. My body was drenched in sweat, My throat parched. Tears sprang to my eyes. I pushed them down with all my will power. I closed my eyes and tried to catch my breath. But all I could see was my fathers face and Koltyns body.

My night's rest was over. Standing up and crossing my room to the obnoxiously large rack of weapons. I switched into flight leathers and began strapping daggers, swords, arrows, throwing knives and other pointy things that no nineteen year old should have access to.
