Euphoria's Diary [Peter, don't touch 😡]

Today was very... I don't know. Mama and Papa were whispering again, but this time they looked very sad. I asked Peter what was happening, but he just hugged me tight and said everything would be okay. But then, the maids were crying in the kitchen. They said James is gone. I don't understand. Peter tried to explain, but he didn't say how. Why won't anyone tell me?

I miss James. He used to tell me stories and carry me on his shoulders. Now he's not coming back. Mama stays in her room all day, and Papa is always at work. Peter says they're sad, but why won't they talk to me? Why won't Mama even look at me?

The maids are nice to me. They give me extra cookies and smile when they see me. I think they're sad too. Maybe we can be sad together.

I wish James could come back. Maybe then Mama would smile again and Papa would come home early. But Peter says James is gone forever. I don't know what forever means, but it sounds very sad.

I hope tomorrow is better. Maybe Mama will talk to me. Maybe I'll find a way to see James again.
