"You know, it's kind of hard to stay focused on the mission when you're so ... distracting." Natasha said, her voice carrying a teasing edge as her fingers deftly worked on adjusting Inferno's suit, zipping it up with practiced ease.
Inferno raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing at her lips as she leaned slightly against the wall. "Distracting? It was your team who set a trap for me, you know. I'm just responding to the circumstances."
Natasha's thumb moved to fix Inferno's lipstick. She looked at Inferno with a mix of amusement and concentration. "But that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to complain about the distraction."
Inferno's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Well, I'm not the one who invited me into a situation where I'd have to be... 'distracting.'"
Natasha chuckled softly, her thumb continuing its meticulous work. "You make it sound like you're an innocent bystander in all this."
Inferno's lips curled into a playful smile. "Innocent? Hardly. But I didn't exactly plan on becoming the focus of your attention."
Natasha's expression softened as she finished adjusting the lipstick, her touch lingering for a moment longer than necessary. "But here we are."
Inferno's gaze was warm, her eyes reflecting a mix of amusement and affection. "Here we are indeed."
Sudden crackle came through her comms. Natasha's hand instinctively moved to her earpiece, her brow furrowing slightly.
Inferno's smirk widened as she heard the faint, distant chatter through the small speaker. Natasha put her hand up to her ear, "I see no signs of her."
Without warning, Inferno leaned in, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to Natasha's neck. The sudden touch sent a shiver down Natasha's spine, causing her to bite her lip to suppress a moan.
Natasha's breath hitched slightly, her voice a hushed whisper as she tried to maintain her composure. "Not exactly helping with the focus, you know."
Inferno pulled back just enough to meet Natasha's gaze, her expression a mix of playful defiance and genuine affection. "And yet, you don't seem to be complaining too much."
Inferno's gaze was steady, a hint of teasing still present in her expression. "So, are you lying to your team now, or just conveniently ignoring the situation?"
Natasha's eyes sparkled with a mischievous glint. "Lying? No. I'm just... creatively managing the situation."
Inferno raised an eyebrow, a playful smile tugging at her lips. "Creative management, huh? That sounds like code for not telling the full truth."
Natasha's eyes flickered with amusement. She leaned closer to Inferno, "What do you want me to say? Oh, she's in a closet with me right now, and we just hooked up, and I'm going to let her go like the last five traps we set up to catch her?"
Inferno's gaze softened, a knowing smile on her lips. "That's one way to put it."
Natasha chuckled softly, she wrapped her arm around Inferno's neck, pulling her into a close embrace. "You are ridiculous, you know that?" Natasha murmured.
Inferno's voice carried a touch of wry amusement as she spoke, "If it makes you feel any better, these traps have really been cutting into my work. They've been quite the distraction also."
Natasha's brow furrowed slightly, "I don't see how that's supposed to make me feel better."
Inferno's lips curled into a faint smile, her gaze steady as she met Natasha's eyes. "Well, maybe if you understand how much trouble your little traps are causing me, you'll have a bit of sympathy."
