"So, I'm sitting at this dinner table in Germany, surrounded by people who are basically strangers, and I'm thinking, how did a tech-obsessed student from a foreign land end up in a German household, with demons besides me and across from me, Daniel...
It all started back in my home country, where my days were filled with coding marathons, tech meetups, and endless nights fueled by coffee and curiosity. I had always dreamt of studying Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in a place where innovation meets tradition. And that was the only reason why I kept studying well in high school even though I hated school. Germany seemed like the perfect fit – a place where cutting-edge technology coexisted. However, "When something's important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor," echoed in my mind as I faced the daunting task of leaving my comfort zone and pursuing my dreams in a foreign land. I had to weigh the pros and cons of leaving behind the familiarity of my home country, the support of my family and friends.

As I pondered over this decision, I began to realize that the allure of Germany's innovative tech scene and rich history was not just a passing fascination, but a calling that I couldn't ignore. I started to envision myself being part of a community that was pushing the boundaries of technology and shaping the future. The thought of being surrounded by like-minded individuals who shared my passion for ICT and my curiosity for the unknown was exhilarating.

With a newfound sense of determination, I started to make plans for my move to Germany. I researched universities, scholarships, a job, a flat and visa requirements, and I reached out to people in my network who had made similar moves.
As the days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into months, my excitement grew, but so did my anxiety. What if I failed to adapt to the new culture? What if I struggled to make friends? What if I wasn't good enough to make it in the competitive German tech scene? These doubts lingered in my mind, but I knew that I had to push through them if I wanted to turn my dreams into reality.
And so, with a deep breath, I took the leap of faith and boarded a flight to Germany, ready to embark on a journey that would change my life forever.
