Since we weren't allowed to stay overnight at the hospital with Mrs. Hernandez and Tyler, the rest of us agreed to crash at Aiden's house. We all trickle in through the tall double doors, the spacious bottom floor never failing to impress us.

The group and I have been at his place a couple of times before, whether to study or just hang out. Yet, every time, I'm always left stunned at the reminder that his parents were extremely wealthy.

The accents were very neutral and bland, a complete contrast to Aiden's colorful personality. Decorations were minimal, with plants being the most saturated objects in the room.

I hear my mom gasp quietly as she steps inside right behind me. She had only ever gone as far as their front porch, so this was her first time inside their home.

"Alright," Aiden's mom enters the living room, "Let's move the furniture around so we can all be comfortable."

I drop my overnight bag and walk over to help her drag the coffee table away from the center. Mr. Banner approaches to assist as well and Mrs. Clark glances over at her son,

"Aiden, do you mind going to get some blankets and pillows from upstairs?"

He agrees happily and saunters off down the wide hallway. I turn my attention over to Mr. Clark and my mom, who were pushing the couch closer to the wall to create more space. I am about to open my mouth to offer assistance when Aiden's mom looks over at me,

"Y/N, honey, could you lend Aiden a hand? Knowing him, he'll come down with the thinnest pillows we own."

I chuckle and nod, "Sure thing, Mrs. Clark."

I head down the hall and up the stairs where I saw him disappear to a few seconds ago. I'm slightly familiar with where everything is, but I had no clue where they kept extra bedding. I poke my head inside every open door until I catch a glimpse of a blonde head buried in one of the drawers in a room.

I step inside what appears to be a guest bedroom. All of the furniture looked practically brand new and untouched. It smelled of soft linen and lavender.

"Did you find any?" I ask as I continue to observe the room.

Aiden looks over his shoulder, not expecting the company, "Oh, hey Y/N! I found a few blankets."

I kneel down beside him and take the pile of neatly folded blankets from his arms. I can't help but laugh when I see the pillows he had begun to pick out.

"Looks like your mom was right to send me with you."

He raises a brow as he watches me glance down at the thin pillows, "What do you mean? My mom told you to come help?"

I nod as I begin putting the pillows back where Aiden had gotten them, "Yup! She said you'd pick out the worst pillows you guys owned. Which, by the way, I didn't think you guys owned anything that wasn't considered 'nice'."

I notice something dark flash in his eyes before the normal twinkle returns to them, "Hm, yeah. Everything here is so nice."

I keep my mouth shut, knowing it wasn't my place to pry into whatever was on his mind. I stand back up and walk over to a tall wardrobe up against the wall. I pull the wooden doors open and my eyes land on a set of large, white pillows.

Aiden walks up beside me and helps me take them out. We grab enough for everyone and return to the living room with the pillows and blankets. Aiden thanks me for the help, which he clearly believed was not needed. His mom flashes me a grateful look before taking the pile of blankets from me.

About an hour later, the pizza Mr. Clark had ordered arrived, so we all huddled in the living room to break everything down. I sat on the floor in between Taylor and Aiden, taking a slice of pepperoni pizza from the box laid out on the rug.
