Arnav was pacing back and forth as he roared into his phone, commanding Aman Mathur to hunt down Anirudh Malhotra without delay. He made it clear that he only wanted to hear a positive response and emphasized the urgency of the work. Threatening him with consequences from ASR if he failed, he said, "I want nothing but him, Aman Mathur." Saying this, he ended the call abruptly and angrily tossed his phone aside, fuming over how Anirudh had managed to evade capture.
He was lost in his thoughts when a gentle but uncertain knock on the door caught his attention. Annoyed by the interruption, he sternly demanded to know who was outside. Khushi felt a chill run down her spine upon hearing his serious tone, which was quite unusual for her. She sensed that something was amiss and that he was upset. Despite her fear of his anger, she timidly identified herself, "Nannav, it's me, Khushi". Upon hearing her voice, he gathered himself and invited her inside. She entered tentatively, observing him with irresolute eyes as she tried to discern what was bothering him. Concerned by her silence, he came closer and cupped her cheeks and asked lovingly, "what's wrong, my love? Why are you so quiet? Have you come to tell me something"?
"That's exactly what I wanted to ask, Arnavji. What's the matter? What happened suddenly to make you so worried? You've been looking troubled ever since that phone call. You haven't been yourself. You haven't even eaten your breakfast properly. You didn't even answer Dadiji's question. What's going on, Nannav? What's bothering you so much"? Khushi was curious about Arnav's sudden change in behaviour after a phone call.
Even though he didn't show his emotions, she noticed that he seemed worried and troubled. She wanted to know what was bothering him and why he wasn't his usual self. Arnav seemed startled by her question, but he didn't let his emotions show on his face. He said, "It's just some business issues, Khushi, nothing else. Let's have breakfast; I'm famished," he said, brushing off her concern and heading towards the door, avoiding her gaze. But before he could step out, she grabbed his hand, stopping him in his tracks. Arnav closed his eyes in despair and remained still. Khushi gently moved towards him and, with a soft touch, tried to pry open his clenched fist.
Khushi gazed directly into his eyes and told him, "Nannav, if you're not ready to open up, that's okay. Just please don't lie. It's not your strong suit, and I know it's not just business that's stressing you out. Take your time to share when you feel comfortable. I won't pressure you. I just don't want to see you so worried. I get it".
She reassured him and was about to move out of the room, but just before she could pull her hand away, Arnav embraced her tightly, pulling her close. Khushi was taken aback when Arnav suddenly pulled her into a hug, but soon understood that he was in need of comfort. This made her believe that his concern was more than just a usual business worry. Without hesitation, she reciprocated the hug and did her best to offer him solace. "What should I tell you, Pari! How can I tell you that your culprit has slipped through our fingers? I've already hurt you once by telling you about your bitter past, I do not want to hurt you further by divulging that your parents' murderer has escaped from my clutches. I'm sorry, Pari... I'm truly sorry" he was murmuring coherently.
