In the morning, Abigail stirred awake to the tantalizing aroma of bacon and eggs wafting through the air., her lips curling into a smile as she realized it was Connor cooking. With a contented stretch, she noticed his shirt on the floor, picked it up, and slipped it on before heading downstairs.
As she entered the kitchen, Connor looked up from the stove, his face lighting up with a warm, almost smug grin. "Well, well, look who's finally up," he said, his tone a blend of amusement and affection.
Abigail shot him a playful glare. "I'm surprised you're up before me. Are you trying to steal all the good morning moments?"
Connor chuckled, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "I figured I'd get a jump on things. Besides, I wanted to make sure you had a proper breakfast. It's not every day I get to cook for someone as stubborn as you."
She walked over to him, and before she could react, he pulled her into a kiss, his lips pressing against hers with a mix of passion and dominance. He then gently lifted her onto the kitchen counter, his hands resting possessively on her hips.
Connor's gaze softened as he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "How was your night, beautiful?" he asked, his voice a low murmur that contrasted with the playful edge of earlier.
Abigail's eyes sparkled with a mix of challenge and affection. "You really think you can win me over with breakfast and kisses?"
Connor smirked, his fingers lightly tracing her side. "I'm not trying to win you over, just showing you a different side of me. And let's be honest, it's not a bad side."
She raised an eyebrow, her tone teasing. "Oh really? I'm still not convinced you're not just full of yourself."
Connor's smile widened, a hint of arrogance still evident. "Maybe I am, but it seems you're enjoying it."
Abigail rolled her eyes playfully. "I suppose I am, but don't think this means I'm letting you off easy. You've got a lot to make up for."
Connor's expression turned serious, though his eyes still held a playful glint. "I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm up for the challenge."
He leaned in, his lips brushing her ear. "And you know, I'm not done making sure you know exactly how much you mean to me."
Abigail's lips curved into a satisfied smile. "You're incorrigible, but I guess that's part of your charm."
Connor's grin was full of confidence as he resumed cooking, his movements smooth and deliberate. "Just wait, the day's still young. I've got plenty more surprises in store."
She watch's Connor cook with a curious look. "So, what's the deal with the flash drive?" she asked. "You didn't hide it in your secret lair, did you?"
Connor glanced over with a smirk. "Maybe. Or maybe I buried it in a top-secret location only I know."
She raised an eyebrow. "Is that top-secret location your closet?"
Connor laughed, leaning closer. "If I told you, it wouldn't be a secret anymore. I like keeping you guessing."
Abigail rolled her eyes, a playful smile on her lips. "You and your secrets. What's next? Are you going to start a spy agency?"
Connor winked. "Only if it means I get to keep you on your toes. But for now, let's focus on breakfast."
Abigail grinned. "Fine, but you owe me a detailed explanation later."
Connor chuckled, flipping the bacon. "Deal. Now eat up before I have to bribe you with more secrets."
As Connor finished cooking, he plated the bacon and eggs and set them in front of Abigail on the counter. He grabbed a fork and held it out to her, a mischievous grin on his face."Here, let me feed you," he said, his tone teasing.
Abigail eyed the fork with a mixture of amusement and defiance. "I'm not a kid, you know."
Connor's grin widened. "To me, you are. Now eat up before I make you swallow something else." He winked, his voice dropping to a low, flirtatious murmur.
Abigail grimaced, a look of mock disgust crossing her face. "Ugh, your pickup lines are as bad as your cooking."
Connor laughed, leaning closer. "Don't act like you weren't enjoying it last night."
She rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress a grin. "Fine, I'll eat. But only because I'm curious how you'll mess up the next meal."
Connor chuckled, clearly pleased. "I'll take that as a compliment. Now, dig in!"
