After the fight against Osial, everything went back to normal.

The Harbingers La Signora and Childe left Liyue shortly after business with Zhongli, which Wei Feng have no idea off.

After rebuilding the Jade Chamber with the help of Shenhe, the traveler left Liyue to continue their search for their sibling in Inazume. Zhongli and Wei Feng warned the traveler about the vision hunt decree, after bidding goodbye another friend left the region.

Ms. Winter was going back to her home region Snezhnaya since she is giving her lover a second chance and has left Liyue by boat.

Now everything is... Back to normal.

Wei Feng spaced out in the middle of a fight, which caused Xiao to sigh in frustration and grabbed the adepti by her waist the teleported her near a bush where she sulked and sat down with a pout.

She hasn't slept for 4 days straight due to helping an old lady traveler who wants to go to Qingce Village to deliver goods.

Wei Feng being the nice adepti she is, stayed up all night just to protect the old lady from enemies that may sneak up on them.

You might ask why would the trip take 4 days?

Well one, the lady is old. So travelling takes time, another is that the old lady really likes telling stories and gets distracted easily. Finally, the old lady gets tired easily.

Xiao notices it and wants to watch over her, sadly he still needs to do his job in Liyue and fight off the demons. The Yaksha is multi-tasking.

After finishing off the final hilichurl, he went to the bush where he saw Wei Feng sleeping.

"I told you not to follow me around." He muttered before lifting Wei Feng up before teleporting to the Inn.

An unexpected visitor greeted the Yaksha.

"Hello." Zhongli said when he felt the presence of his loyal Yaksha.

"Re— Zhongli, you came to visit?" Xiao corrected himself on time and greeted the Former Archon.

The older male smiled softly when he saw Wei Feng sleeping peacefully, "My, she looks very tired. So the Qixing was correct, the adepti didn't sleep for a few nights."

After entering a hallway where the rooms were located, Zhongli took Wei Feng in his arms and brought her to her own room. Xiao followed silently. He watched as the Former Archon placed the girl down who snuggled on the bed getting comfortable.

Zhongli smiled and rubbed her hair as she slept. "I'll watch over her, you may continue your duty as you please."

Xiao nodded before teleporting away.

After leaving the man and the girl in the room, Zhongli's smile changed into a pained expression. Looking at the girl, a fresh set of memories dumped into him.

He leaned down and kissed the girl's forehead, "You look just like your mother."

Letting Wei Feng rest more, Zhongli made himself comfortable and found a book that can entertain him while watching over his dearest... Daughter.

Wei Feng sniffled behind a tree and crouched down sadly.

She heard everything they said... Not all citizens of Liyue are sunshine and butterflies, sometimes venom will come out of their mouths.

"Have you heard? The timid adepti slacked off and just slept for 5 days straight without doing work?"

"The timid adepti should just leave. I never saw the use of her."

"Wasting space and giving more trouble to the Qixing."

"Why did Rex Lapis even make her an adepti?"

"Useless."

"If she were killed, I won't attend any ceremony by the Qixing or Adepti. What's worth celebrating with a nobody?"

"She shouldn't be named the 'Timid Adepti', it will fit her better if it's 'Useless Adepti'."

She continues to cry before speeding away Liyue Harbor using her vision.

A man with long brown hair and amber eyes heard and saw everything, which made him frown. Sadly before he could take action, Hu Tao called upon him for assistance.

He gave the Adeptus Xiao and look before walking away.

Zhongli then hoped that Xiao could comfort her since not only did he hear everything, but out of all the adepti, they're the closest ones.

Xiao later found Wei Feng at the abode, crying at the tree in the middle of the pond.

He frowned and slowly walked towards her, standing below her.

His heartaches for her cries, she didn't deserve all venomous compliments. She is timid for a reason, but in the battlefield, she is one of the most skilled fighters.

He knows this because he stood beside her all this time, watching her grow, watching her adapt to her new abilities and win fights. She's been holding a heavy weight on her shoulders, keeping in all the painful feelings to herself and showing everyone she is alright.

Xiao is very worried about this, so this time he will act how he needs to. To be there for her.

He will protect her from all those people who talk behind her back.

"Wei Feng?" Xiao called. The girl sniffled and wiped her tears away and sent Xiao a small smile.

"H-Hi..."

Xiao jumped and sat beside her on the branch, he didn't hesitate and pulled her closer to him. Their position shifted, Xiao's back leaned against the the tree with Wei Feng on his lap holding her hands softly.

Wei Feng just played with his fingers, distracting herself from her negative thoughts.

Xiao knew she needed space, so he let her do anything she pleased.

Wei Feng ended up playing with her hand, holding and messing around with his spear, playing with the beads on his clothes, and playing around the leaves that fell on them.

When night fell, Zhongli smiled when he saw the two Adepti cuddling on the tree branch fast asleep.

He smiled before leaving the two. All his worries washed away thanks to the Yaksha.
