Pain.

Always.

Whenever he was around, I felt pain.

It came from anyone, in any form.

I was a lastborn child.

And I was going to be the first person to die in my family.

Today could be my last day on this earth.

I am going to die.

He has found me.

He has come for me.

I was afraid, yes. The game of cat and mouse was going to end.

And unfortunately, however hard I tried to win, defeat him...he won.

He won me. Every time.

A shaky breath left me as the car doors opened outside the tin hut where I was hiding.

Several footsteps ran towards me.

My doom was a few minutes away.

I inhaled and held the handle tightly in my hand.

The door was kicked open beside me.

Goons, armed with guns, entered first.

Then his shadow loomed.

My heart pounded.

And finally, he came inside.

The sunrays falling on him from outside blinded me for a second.

I squinted, and our eyes held contact.

My breath hitched.

"Jheel..."

I shivered, gulped, and forced myself to breathe.

He went to step towards me.

I stood up on shaky legs, "stop!"

He narrowed his eyes, nonetheless stopped.

I smiled, raised the knife in the air, and pulled it down in full force towards myself,

"Goodbye, Advait Thakre, forever!"

"Jheel!!!! No!!!"

My name was Jheel Kumari Thakre. And this was the story of my life becoming hell.
