Arrival in Liyue

"Well, today is the day," Lynette announced in her usual tone of voice, zipping up her suitcase and rolling it behind her as she walked forward. Lyney followed, stepping quickly to stand beside her, holding two bags in the capacity of his arms, his top hat tilted as if it were about to fall off of his head. Surprisingly, the hat was stable.

Freminet took his diving wear and Pers, along with some other items that could interest him, such as spare parts of machinery he collected in different areas of Fontaine. He had yet to configure it all.

Freminet slung a bag over his shoulders and followed the twins from behind. He was thankful that his mind didn't submerge him in fear and negativity this morning, and for a little while, Freminet had the idea he would be able to get around Liyue without much trouble. Besides, Lyney and Lynette would always be there for him in the end.

He needn't worry about a thing.

All of the well-dressed siblings exited the door of their Fontaine establishment with their baggage, heading toward a new-found destiny.

The flight to Liyue felt like a passing breeze — short. The time came for all passengers to depart from the flat.

Freminet wobbled toward the plane exit, still dazed from the nap he took on the flight, and Lyney and Lynette had to support him through the door. Soon enough, the trio made it to the town center of Liyue, which had connected buildings of browns, greens, whites, reds, and bright gold. Behind the buildings stood gray mountains with viridian green tops. The sight was further enhanced by bridges, surrounding water, and stone steps leading to more buildings that expressed their own unique flair.

The siblings looked up in amazement at the beautiful scenery, gazes stuck there, until a man with a clipboard tapped them all on the shoulder.

It was revealed to be a middle-aged man with brown hair and a beard. He held a clipboard.

"Would you three be Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet of Fontaine — the magicians? I will be your tour guide, as directed by the entertainment board of Liyue."

Lyney took this as his opportunity to step forward and spin his hat off of his head and into his hands as he bowed with it. "Magicians, we are," Lyney confirmed. "Well, my little brother isn't, he would prefer to be an audience member," Lyney added, turning to Freminet to make sure it was appropriate to mention that.

Freminet replied by giving a shy nod.

The man analyzed all of their appearances, and scribbled down some words. It seemed the siblings passed the verification check.

"I will need the three of you to follow me," the man told, clearing his throat. "I'm sure at least one of you received a performance invitation. I will be showing you where to perform your show tonight, as well as views of Liyue along the way."

All three of them nodded, stepping ahead at the same time.

The tour was really quite wonderful. Liyue was a beautiful place just full of light. The landmarks expressed such bright maturity.

Citizens appeared active, playful, brave, and musical. Lynette turned her head left and right, silently enjoying the view with her hands placed elegantly in front of her. Lyney was practically skipping on the path, ooh-ah-ing and gasping smiles. Freminet did the same as Lynette, but with his hands at his sides, and his head lowered to hide from by-passers.

The man halted, and so did the siblings, their hearts racing at the sudden cease of movement.

"Last on this tour, you will be performing at this auditorium," the middle-aged man informed, pointing up at where they stopped. They were positioned in front of a brown building with glossy blue windows and gold-spotted roofs, green pillars stationed at the sides. "Inside, you'll be greeted by workers. You'll be asked a few questions to confirm you are actual performers, and required to show a copy of the letter you received."

Lyney pulled a letter out of his pocket, showing it happily. The magic boy made sure to print a replica of the original invitation in case he would have to show it as evidence. In this case, that's just what he would need the replica for.

The man nodded. "Then, you'll be escorted back stage, just state your performance names and be prepared to shine," he added with a smile. "That's it, I wish you all well. Here's a paper with more details (times they'll be performing, etc).

The man handed over the sheet to Freminet (which Freminet was super surprised about, expecting for such an important sheet of paper to be handed to Lyney or Lynette), payed them respect, and then started walking away, the siblings waving and giving their farewells.

As the man finally disappeared into the distance, Lyney put his hands on his hips and looked at Lynette and Freminet with a smile and star-lit orbs. "Let's explore! The show isn't until 9pm tonight, I was informed already in the invitation, so we should make the best of this trip and get to know our surroundings — befriend the citizens here, even!"

Freminet seemed pained by the last idea, and Lynette just blinked, her arms folded. Lyney looked defeated and almost offended, the life blasted out of him as he looked down.

"You can't be serious, you guys really don't want to explore Liyue?" He asked, saddened.

Freminet mumbled. "There's just a lot of walking to do, and...why people?"

"I agree with Freminet on this one, Lyney. With a lot of walking, we'll be tired by showtime," Lynette added on.

Lyney stood in place with narrowed eyes that gave off a "are you for real?" aura. He sighed softly. "It will be a quick walk, we can just circle around the plaza. Freminet, you have that paper right?"

"Yes," Freminet answered, handing Lyney the sheet he just received from the tour guide. The thing was tri-folded.

"Thank you!"

Lyney took the page respectfully out of Freminet's hands and opened it crisply. "Let's see here," he said. They all leaned over the sheet. "It's our performance times...facts about Liyue's culture...a map to get around the harbor, and events happening this week!"

"There's a few restaurants," Lynette pointed out.

"There's a beach," Freminet noticed and announced.

Lyney focused his attention on the map. "Hm, those are all pretty great, but they're too far away from the performance building."

Liyue was a place of bountiful expression. There were so many places and events the siblings wanted to go to, which were listed. Unfortunately, all of these options were held miles away from the auditorium that they had an obligation to keep close to.

Freminet suddenly made a statement, pointing his finger at

1. A yellow dot on the map that marked the location of a restaurant that wasn't too far away from the auditorium.

2. An event that listed "lion dancing — in honor of the opening of Quail Dancing Moon Diner."

Freminet spoke, "Quail Dancing Moon is the restaurant represented by the yellow dot, and the event of lion dancing will be held to honor the opening of Quail Dancing Moon, since it's new."

With that, the problem was resolved. They'd go to the grand opening of a new restaurant in the area, and watch a show of lion dancing before their own magic performance.
