I awake in my castle as usual, by the maids telling me how many things I have to do today. I sit up and the maids pick out the perfect dress for the occasion, I get dressed then I head downstairs. I sit at the dinning table and await for breakfast to be served. My mom and dad, who are the king and queen, sit across from me like always. This is how things have always been since I was a little girl. I don't mind it, I like being a princess. I like the dresses, the make-up, but I don't like how I'm treated better than everyone else. It's unfair I think but my parents think it's how things should be. I don't question them, why should I? This is the best as it gets even though I wish I could at least have a day knowing what it's like to be like everyone else. Breakfast is served and it's eggs with toast, basic but good, I eat it and one of the servants says I have 'a big day ahead of me,' which really means it's going to be sitting in the throne room and listening to the boring conversation my parents and people have about the kingdom, some are about schools. Ive never been to a school, the maids and servants teach me, they said I'm very smart for my age. I don't know anyone my age, my parents say they'll take me into the kingdom but they never did. I follow the servant into my room to get ready, they did my make-up and my hair. I sighed out of boredom just thinking about what I'm going to be doing for the rest of the day, "Why do I even have to do this? I'm not going to be queen anytime soon and even if I was, these people don't have anything interesting to say. It's always about problems with the road, or the schools, I don't want to do this anymore" I tell Bridget, one of the maids I became kind of friends with. "I know, but it's important Miss Marjorie. You need to know what to do in these situations" she said calmly. I look out of the window with a balcony outside, tempted to go out there and see the garden. Once she stepped away to grab something, I took that as my chance and quickly went outside and leaned against the railing and taking a deep breath. Bridget tried to call me back inside but I don't answer and I just watch the sway of the trees and the roses growing on the wall beside me. Bridget takes my hand and tries to talk me back inside, I follow but for a split second, in the corner of my eye, I see someone. Someone in a hood and cloak, thats all I saw before being taken back inside and sent to the throne room to listen to the boring talking and 'learn' but all I can think about was that person, who were they? What were they doing in the Royal garden? I looked out the stained glass window and got lost in my thoughts about the mystery person.
