chapter 4

So I just stood there with big eyes waiting for the person to hit me. but before that I felt two arms grabbing me around the waist and pulling me away.

 'watch out!' I heard Gary shout while luckily the person passed me by an inch. I didn't know I stopped breathing until I sucked in air out of relief.

 'ji hyo-ah are you okay?' he asked while checking my body.

 'it's okay, Gary, I'm fine, thanks to you.' I said while I was searching for the guy on the motorbike. He was at the end turning this way again. and this time he was driving even faster.

 'oppa! He's coming back! Run!' I said and grabbed his arm to run to the exit door where the stairs where. 

'hurry!' we were at the second floor when I heard fast footsteps coming.

 'call the police!' I shouted already out of breath. He grabbed his phone and dialed the number. Why, why did our apartment had to be at the top? After five more stairs I was completely out of breath and my stomach was hurting really badly.

 'Gary, I have to stop, I can't run anymore!' I basically begged him. so he stopped for a moment to get his breath too.

 'why aren't they here yet?' I whined and listened if he I could hear sirens. But it was completely silent. Wait, I couldn't hear footsteps anymore.

 'oppa, I can't hear him!' I whispered and the fear could be heard in my voice.

 'you are right...let's quickly take the elevator.' He said and stood up to carefully open the door.

 'there is nobody there, come on.' He said and grabbed my wrist to pull me behind him while entering the elevator. 

'okay, get ready, he could be anywhere.' After what felt like minutes we were at the top of the building. My breath was getting faster again while hiding after Gary. The doors opened and there he was, right in front of us, waiting until we came into his trap. I screamed but before the man could attack us Gary kicked him in the stomach and he flew a bit farther on the ground moaning from the pain. Gary quickly got back into the elevator and pushed the button the close the doors. While I just stood there bewildered of what just happened.

 'are you okay?' he asked while taking my hand. I only nodded and swept away the hairs out of my face. Trying to get what just happened. 

'was that him?' I asked him and while asking my heart started beading faster again.

 ' I hope that was him, It could just have been a warning.' He answered while looking at me worried. 

'this is not a movie, oppa!' I said but wasn't sure if was really wrong.

 'he told he would make sure you would never be happy, if I was him I would not try to kill or hurt you, I would try to kill or hurt your loved ones, I think this is just a warning.' He explained very seriously, and thinking about it he was right. But that meant this was not the last we would see of him. the doors opened again and finally I could hear the sirens outside the building. Several police officers came running inside towards us.

 'are you the people that called us?' one said while the others took the stairs to check the building. 

'yes, he is last was at the top floor.' He nodded and ran after the others. Suddenly I felt my phone ringing again. I took it and looked at the caller id. It was unknown again.

 'I'll take it.' Gary said and grabbed from my hand again. 

'yes.' He said and I could slightly hear the man's voice again.
