Lisa woke up to the gentle sound of waves crashing against the shore. She blinked slowly, her vision blurry, trying to make sense of her surroundings. She was in a spacious room with large windows, the sunlight streaming in, highlighting the beautiful coastal view outside. She sat up, her body feeling different—stronger, more attuned to the world around her.
As she moved, she realized she didn't recognize anything about the place. Panic began to set in. She couldn't remember how she got here or even her own name. She looked down at her hands, feeling a strange disconnection from her body.
Just then, the door opened, and Jungkook walked in, carrying a tray with a steaming cup of tea and some fruit. His face lit up with a warm smile as he saw her awake.
"Good morning, Lisa," he said softly, setting the tray on the bedside table. "How are you feeling?"
Lisa stared at him, her heart pounding. "Who are you? Where am I? What's happening to me?"
Jungkook's expression shifted to one of concern and understanding. He sat down on the edge of the bed, his eyes meeting hers with a mix of tenderness and sadness. "I'm Jungkook. I'm your husband. We've been through a lot, Lisa."
"My husband?" Lisa echoed, her mind struggling to process the information. "Why can't I remember anything? Why does everything feel so... strange?"
Jungkook took a deep breath, his gaze never leaving hers. "You had an accident, Lisa. It was serious, and it affected your memory. We've been moving around a lot for your safety, which might be why you feel disoriented."
Lisa's eyes widened. "An accident? What kind of accident?"
"It's complicated," Jungkook replied gently. "But the important thing is that you're safe now. We're together, and we can get through this. I promise to help you remember and to take care of you."
She looked into his eyes, searching for any hint of deception. But all she saw was sincerity and a deep, abiding love. "I don't know if I can believe all of this. It feels like a dream."
Jungkook reached out and took her hand, his touch warm and reassuring. "I know it's a lot to take in. But you're not alone, Lisa. We have each other, and we'll figure it out together. Do you trust me?"
Lisa hesitated, then nodded slowly. "I don't have much of a choice, do I?"
He gave her a small smile. "No, but I hope in time you'll see that you do. Now, there's something else you need to know. It's about who we are."
Her brows furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean?"
Jungkook's expression grew serious. "We're not like other people, Lisa. We're vampires. That's part of why things feel different for you. Your senses, your strength—it's all part of what we are."
Lisa stared at him, her mind reeling. "Vampires? This has to be a joke."
"I wish it were," Jungkook said softly. "But it's the truth. You've changed, and it's a lot to handle. But I'll be with you every step of the way."
She felt a surge of fear and disbelief. "I don't know if I can accept this. It's too much."
Jungkook squeezed her hand gently. "I understand. It took me a long time to accept it too. But you're strong, Lisa. Stronger than you know. We'll get through this together."
Lisa took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing thoughts. "I don't even know who I am. How can I trust anything?"
"You'll remember in time," Jungkook assured her. "And even if you don't, we'll make new memories together. I'll help you rediscover who you are."
She looked at him, feeling a flicker of hope amidst the confusion. "Promise?"
"Promise," he said with a gentle smile. "Now, let's get you settled. I'll answer all your questions, and we'll take it one day at a time."
As the days turned into weeks, Jungkook kept his promise. He was patient and kind, guiding Lisa through her new reality. He taught her about their abilities, their history, and their life together. Bit by bit, Lisa began to accept her new identity, finding comfort in Jungkook's unwavering support and love.
