back to square one?

Taehyung wakes up feeling sore, achy but not heated and he is glad to finally feel normal though this heat was a lot less painless than the other ones where he would have to suffer alone.

And how jungkook had taken care of him while he was on heat taehyung wouldn't absolutely wouldn't mind if he was always on heat.

Disappointment settles in him when he turns around to find the other side of the bed empty.

He wants his alpha, he wants jungkook's musky manly scent to surround him.

Taehyung notices he was wearing a big ass T-shirt which was jungkook's so he doesn't waste any time before clutching the t-shirtt bringing up to his nose inhaling the smell.

"kookie? " he calls out sitting up wincing at the pain at his lower area, no jungkook comes .

"he must have gone somewhere.. " taehyung whispers out loud, getting up from bed walking to the bathroom to freshen up.

There he stands in front of the mirror, eyeing and touching the red-purple hickeys jungkook had left and felt his cheeks heating up.

Shaking his head with a giddy smile on his lips taehyung started to shower.

Hours passed but no jungkook came, the alpha wasn't replying to his texts or calls. Taehyung bit his lower lip, did he do something wrong while in heat? He knows he can quite be a burden in heat.. Did he confess?

"fuck what if I confessed him? Even though I don't really remember... . What if I did and he got disgusted? Oh god please don't be it" the omega mumbled tugging his hairs in frustration.

He was drowning in his thoughts when the door finally opened with jungkook coming inside wearing a casual dress not his office suit.

So where was the alpha for hours? Did he meet someone? Perhaps did he had a lover in Japan?

He was cut off by jungkook who's eyes flicked upon him before he dropped his gaze, " have you packed already? We are leaving in an hour or so"

Oh right they had their flight today to catch. They were leaving japan.

"no but-once again taehyung was cut off, he visibly winced when jungkook looked at with a cold gaze, "I'm going to order some food while you pack" with that he left taehyung standing in the middle of room.

Throughout their trip back to seoul jungkook hasn't uttered a word if not necessary, and avoided him everytime he tried to have a conversation.

Now jungkook's avoidance ignorance was worse than when they met after 7years for their marriage.

And it hurted taehyung more than he could imagine.

Feeling like he failed as a husband, as a omega, as a friend even. Just when they were getting progressive in their relationship he had to get his heat and be a horny bitch and ruin everything. It's all his fault.

So after they arrived seoul in their home, taehyung didn't try to start conversations anymore.

He stopped waiting for jungkook to come home and have dinner together, he stopped talking, he stopped getting in the alpha's way.

A week passed with jungkook continuing to avoid him and taehyung felt like he was living alone because he rarely saw jungkook.

He came home late when taehyung has already fallen asleep and left for office before taehyung woke up, he worked even on Sundays.

The only way taehyung knew jungkook came home was because he felt the musky scent when he woke up and felt warm at night while he was asleep.

It hurted taehyung everyday, it was like a continue stab at his heart. He wanted to hate jungkook, he wanted to hate the alpha for hurting him so many times but he couldn't.

All was so well , he remembers when people would say they will marry each other as soon as they grow up.

Well they did but they changed.. Or well jungkook changed, after jungkook presented as an alpha he stopped talking to taehyung, would avoid him. Left him alone when taehyung wanted him , needed him the most.

Then suddenly he came as one of taehyung's suitor, taehyung thought .. Just maybe he came to apologize to make things right to make it up.

But oh how he was wrong, taehyung chose to marry jungkook because he knew jungkook, he was only familiar with him, because he loved jungkook and he hoped jungkook would love him back too.

Boy how wrong he was, taehyung remembers the 1st month of their marriage, when jungkook would come home late, always ordering take outs, not caring about himself or anyone in this world, always giving him cold shoulder.

But he changed with time, he came home soon in evening, they would have small talks, would have dinner together sometimes even cook together.

He misses those times, he ruined it all didn't he?

Taehyung sniffs, rubbing his face into his pillow which has gone wet from crying. He slowly let's the exhaustion take over.

Taehyung woke up feeling weirdly warm?

He blinked feeling a weight on his waist only to find jungkook's arm.

He gasped before turning to find the alpha sleeping with a pout, eyebrows furrowed.

It was Friday right? Didn't he had his office today?

"kook- jungkook? " taehyung stopped himself from calling that.

"jungkook? Don't you have office today? " he asked louder this time.

The alpha only move towards him, sleeply mumbling something which taehyung barely heard

Taehyung got up sitting on the bed, before pushing his hands towards jungkook's forehead and gasped at the heated skin.

"jungkook you are burning ! Oh god" taehyung almost yelled waking the alpha up who only groaned pushing his face into taehyung's pillow.

Did he hit his rut? But his scent was dull so it must be a fever.

Taehyung quickly checks the temperature with a thermometer and gasps at the high temperature showing.

He quickly calls his hyung jin hyung who is a doctor and then quickly orders medicine his hyung prescribed.

Then takes some cold water in the bowl and a clothe and presses it against jungkook's heated forehead who groans at the coldness touching his skin.

"shh it's okay, go to sleep kookie" taehyung tells while pressing the cloth against jungkook's forehead who grunts.

Soon after taehyung feels the temperature has lowered, he stares at jungkook for a minute who seems to be in deep sleep, after so many days taehyung is finally able to look at him, just then he notices how dull jungkook's skin has become just in a few days, there's eyebags under his eyes.
