“I’ll make sure you feel everything,” Anurag muttered, his voice a mixture of concern and determination. Before Akanksha could react, he scooped her up in his arms and carried her to the living room. Gently, he placed her on the couch and left the room, leaving her to ponder his words.

Akanksha stared at her hands, trying to calm her racing heart. The sound of his footsteps brought her back to reality. Anurag returned with a first aid kit in hand, his expression unreadable.

“Ahhh…” Akanksha winced as he took her hand, a bit too roughly, and sat down in front of her, his eyes locking onto hers.

“Master…” she started, her voice trembling. But he loosened his grip, his touch now more gentle as he inspected her wounded finger, still bleeding from the thorns.

Without warning, he pulled out a thorn, causing her to gasp in pain. Memories of her earlier words flooded back—she had said she wanted to feel something. Maybe this was his way of making her feel.

She bit her lip hard, tears streaming down her face as he bandaged her fingers in silence. When he finished, he pulled back, his dark eyes meeting hers.

“I am sor…” she began, but his intense gaze made her falter. She didn’t even understand why she had acted so recklessly.

Anurag sighed, standing up without a word and taking the first aid kit with him. Her heart ached as she watched him leave. She wanted him to stay away, yet his presence was something she both hated and craved.

Not knowing what else to do, she followed him to the kitchen, reminding herself that she was just a maid. Whatever he was doing, it was part of her job.

Anurag didn’t acknowledge her presence, even though he knew she was there. He put the first aid kit away and moved towards the stove to serve pancakes. Akanksha quickly grabbed a plate from the dining table, hoping to help.

She smiled at him, but he didn’t return it. She reached out for a pancake, but his harsh grip on her wrist stopped her he pulled away the plate from her hands. She looked up at him, tears welling up in her eyes.

“Master, I’m just trying to hel…” Anurag cut her off, jerking her hand away and glaring at her.

“Get back to the living room, Akanksha,” he ordered, his voice low and filled with restrained anger.
