Chapter 6
It has been a few days since Lu Yao was persuaded to quit.
In the evening of this day, Lu Yao went out for a walk. When he was about to walk downstairs of his house, he received a call from his head teacher, Lao Liu. When he heard Lao Liu guiltily tell him on the phone that all the schools in Shancheng refused to accept him, Lu Yao guessed that Huang Li had asked his family to trip him up.
After ending the call with Lao Liu, Lu Yao looked up and saw Ms. Li standing by the road outside the community.
Lu Qi was driven back to Hai City by his father last Sunday night, after all, he still had classes to attend. But Lu's father and Ms. Li pushed aside the work at hand and stayed in Shancheng.
Ms. Li was just a little bored staying in the hotel and wanted to go out for a walk, but she walked here unknowingly.
Seeing Lu Yao standing not far away, Ms. Li couldn't help but smile on her cold face.
She didn't notice that behind her, two motorcycles were roaring and approaching her at a high speed.
Seeing the two motorcycles speeding towards him, Lu Yao's expression suddenly changed. Like a cheetah, he ran towards Ms. Li swiftly.
Recently, a group of motorcycle thieves appeared in Shancheng, specializing in robbing passers-by of their property. The two motorcycle gangs were heading for the defenseless Ms. Li.
"Bang!"
Lu Yao pulled Ms. Li, who was still unaware of the situation, away from the road in time, but he was scraped by the motorcycle speeding by and fell heavily to the ground. The delicate skin on his elbow was rubbed and bleeding. The wound was bloody and stained with some gravel.
The two motorcycle gangs did not give up after failing to rob Ms. Li's bag. After all, Ms. Li looked rich, but when they looked back and saw the dangerous coldness in Lu Yao's deep eyes, they realized that Lu Yao was a tough guy who was not easy to mess with, so they gave up and left in disappointment.
This level of flesh abrasions was just a minor injury in Lu Yao's eyes, but Ms. Li felt distressed when she saw it.
Seeing Lu Yao turning around and about to leave, Ms. Li suddenly reached out and gently pulled the wrist of his uninjured hand, "Go to the hospital to treat the wound."
Feeling the shackles and warmth coming from his wrist, Lu Yao was stunned for a moment, but then he flipped his wrist lightly and broke free from Ms. Li's hand.
"No need."
After a pause, he turned his head and looked at Ms. Li, and added coldly, "The security here in Shancheng is not very safe, you should go back."
Ms. Li and Lu's father, who are obviously rich people from other places, are most likely to be robbed by the motorcycle gangs as fat sheep.
After Lu Yao finished speaking, he raised his legs and wanted to leave, but Ms. Li reached out and held his wrist again, her voice gentle but her eyes looking at him persistently: "Go to the doctor to treat the wound."
Thinking that Lu Yao might have dealt with his injuries so carelessly before, Ms. Li suddenly felt sour in her heart.
Lu Yao didn't think it was necessary to go to the hospital for such a minor injury. He wanted to break free from Ms. Li's hand again, but when he saw her expression that looked like she was about to cry, his heart couldn't help but soften.
Lu Yao turned his head uncomfortably and looked away, "Let's go."
Seeing that Lu Yao finally agreed to go to the hospital to treat the wound, Ms. Li's frowning eyebrows finally relaxed.
