(A/n:It had been over a month and a half since Jiya began her relentless pursuit of Tae.. Despite his best efforts to keep his distance, Jiya’s stubborn determination made it impossible.. She refused to give up, continuing her playful, sometimes silly attempts to win him over.. Whether it was through her thoughtful gestures, her bright smiles, or her little surprises, Jiya’s presence was a constant, and no matter how much Tae tried, he couldn’t fully ignore her...
And, though he wouldn’t admit it, there were moments when he found himself enjoying her antics, a faint smile tugging at his lips when she wasn’t looking.. But even those fleeting moments of joy couldn’t break through the walls he had built around his heart.. Tae’s sense of right and wrong, his rigid morals, kept him from acknowledging what he was beginning to feel...
So, he kept denying it—denying Jiya, denying the warmth she brought into his life, and most of all, denying the feelings slowly stirring within him.. As much as he fought against it, his heart remained at odds with his mind, caught between a love he wasn’t ready to accept and a moral code he couldn’t let go of...
It was July 3rd, Tae’s 28th birthday.. For most people, it would be a special day, but not for Tae.. He had never been one to celebrate his birthday, and this year was no different.. To him, it was just another day, nothing more..
But for Jiya, it was a day that deserved all the joy and celebration.. She had planned something special—
a blueberry-flavored cake, Tae’s favourite.. Determined to make it perfect, she had spent countless hours practising, learning from her mom, and trying again and again until she got it just right.. When she finally finished, the cake was a masterpiece, beautifully decorated with all the love and care she had poured into it.. Jiya couldn’t wait to surprise him; her heart was practically bursting with excitement as she headed to KIM CORPORATION, the cake carefully carried in her hands...Little did she know, she was about to walk straight into a storm...
Tae’s day had been a nightmare.. A massive mistake by his employees had cost them a crucial deal with a foreign partner, and the fallout was chaotic.. He was furious, more than he had been in a long time..
He rarely lost his temper, but when he did, it was like a thunderstorm—loud, intense, and impossible to ignore.. He had been shouting at everyone, his words sharp and cutting, and not even Ahan, his right-hand man, could calm him down.. Tae was a cold yet composed person known for his self-control, but today was different.. His patience had snapped, and he was lashing out, his anger taking over..
Jiya, unaware of the chaos, walked into the building with a bright smile, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.. She had no idea what she was about to face.. With a deep breath, she quietly entered Tae’s office, ready to surprise him with the cake she had worked so hard on.. But as she stepped inside, she was greeted not by the quiet, gentle Tae she adored but by a man who was seething with rage..
He was pacing the room, his eyes dark and intense, still reeling from the disastrous day.. The moment Jiya walked in, it was as if time stopped for a brief second.. Tae looked up, his expression hard, and the sight of her standing there, holding that box, caught him completely off guard..
But the anger inside him hadn’t subsided.. And now, with Jiya there, he felt even more overwhelmed, a new mix of frustration and confusion bubbling up...)
Jiya:May I come in,ahjussi?
Tae:(He was so pissed off..) What are you doing here..?(The coldest tone and Jiya could sense it..)
Jiya:(But she didn't pay that much attention cause Tae always kinda acted cold with her..) Yaa,ahjussi.. I most often come here like this.. You know that..
