It was Aaria's second night here in Assam with Ehtesham, and she did anything but spend time with him. Ehtesham was also really busy because of the deal, while Aaria understood the deal was important, she also couldn't help getting worried about his health. He was working continuously, yesterday he went to the office early in the morning and came back around midnight, but he tried to keep her company with his constant calls and texts.
Right now, she was waiting for him to come back from the office. She already called Zaid once, and he said that he wasn't with Ehtesham, his department was different. She looked out of the window for the nth time, considering calling him again.
The house was beautiful, already making Aaria warm and the dim light worked as a cherry on top. She flinched lightly at the clouds grunting as the rain poured heavily making the evening darker yet beautiful.
She glanced at the window putting her book down, she sighed curling onto the couch hugging herself. No matter how hard she tries, she cannot help but worry about him. It's raining heavily, the night was already approaching but he wasn't home yet. He said he'll be home soon after he's done with his business. She wondered what he might be doing right now.
"Where are you, Ehtesham?", Aaria mumbled, staring outside the window.
*At Ehtesham's Office*
Ehtesham glanced at his watch again, as he carefully tried to listen to the presentation. Physically he was in the office but his mind was somewhere else. He wished to wrap this up as soon as possible so that he could go home to the woman awaiting him.
"The strategies we need to work on and then execute this plan....", He tried to keep his focus but he couldn't as the rain poured filling his mind with the thoughts of her. What must she be doing right now? He gulped licking his lips in an attempt to wet his dry throat. He closed his eyes, sighing heavily before he cursed under his breath as he abruptly stood up from his seat inviting everybody's attention.
"Is there something wrong, sir?", The question he didn't want to answer. He forced a smile before glancing at his watch again.
"I think it's quite late and it's raining heavily. This deal is not important right now, We'll continue this some other time. Let's just focus on tomorrow's deal for now" Everybody nodded.
"Now if you'll excuse me", he said dismissing the meeting as he gathered his things moving out. His Assistant walking behind him. He started giving Zakir instructions about the meeting as he walked to the elevator.
"Zakir, as far I've seen, the presentation is really good and convincing. Everything is prepared well, I'm positive we will get this deal. You just tell them to practice the presentation to perfection, everyone should be confident when representing themselves in front of the clients. Tell them it's my order, they are going to represent my company, they should be perfect"
