Feb 7th 2012 (6 years old)
" "I love you, lil man." My dad says tucking me into bed.
"Love you" i say rubbing my eye out of tiredness
My dad walks out of my room telling me he had something he needed to handle.
A loud knock on the front door awoke me.
My room was in the living room area so i could here everything going on in there.
My dad was arguing with someone.
I get up and open the door to my room and just as i open it my dad shoots someone and he falls to the ground.
It was silent though. The gun didnt make a noise.
My dad notices me standing in the door way and runs to me telling another guy that was in the room to clean up the mess.
Buck.. his best friend. He passed away not to long ago. He always told us about his little brother who i never got to meet. Matima.
He picks me up and asked me how long i had been in there
I couldnt speak. I was shook. I starting crying not knowing exactly what feeling i felt
He kissed me on my cheek and sat on my bed with me in his lap.
"Listen baby. Daddy didnt mean to let you see that.. but you know theres certain things daddy just has to do." I just nod my head tears to falling out of my eyes.
"If anything happens to daddy will you promise me you'll never be like me?" I nod my head sniffling a little.
He gives me another kiss and for the rest of the night he stayed in bed with me."

As soon as i make eye contact with him i cling onto him.
Ive had that nightmare every since it happened.
It wasnt the shooting that scared me. It was the thought of what my dad had told me and what they had done to my dad when they took him away from me.
I start to cry holding glo as tight as possible.
"Whats wrong lil dude" he says panicked. I didnt answer instead i cry louder
"Nightmare?" I nod as he wiped my eyes.
"Everythings gon be fine lil dude"he says holding me closer to his chest.
I start to calm down as he rubs my back.
I stop crying and lean up to look at him
"U wanna tell me what happen?" I quickly nod
"Dats ok. Just kno i got u lil dude. Always" hes says while i just nod at his words
