Sophie
Sophie picked up her pace, eager to get to the exit. Suddenly, she crashed into someone, sending them both tumbling to the ground.
Sophie blinked. She was on top of him. She looked up, hoping with all her heart that it was anyone but Fitz.
"Tam?!"
Tam looked up at her with those silver blue eyes and messy hair. His cheeks tinged the lightest shade of pink. "Oh, um, hi."
Sophie felt her face burn and she scrambled to her feet. Tam got up, his pretty eyes staring into hers. "Where were going?"
Sophie tugged on an eyelash, deciding if she should lie or not. She could trust Tam. "I was going to find Keefe."
Tam smirked. "I knew it, that's why I skipped Universe."
"You think it's a bad idea?"
"Well...One, you still have your Foxfire uniform on. Two, you don't have an obscurer or any protection. And three, you have no idea where Keefe is."
"I..."Sophie trailed off because he was right. What was she going to do? Run off to some random city with no guards, no plan, and not tell anyone where she was going?
Yeah...she was.
"Try hail him one last time," Tam suggested. "If that doesn't work, I'll come with you and I can cover us both in shadows."
Sophie grinned. "You'd do that?"
Tam nodded, looking anywhere but at her.
Sophie took out her imparter and hailed Keefe.
Please, Please, Please answer.
He did. This time it was quieter but his background was still blurred.
"Where are you?" Sophie demanded.
Keefe smirked. "Miss me, Foster?"
Sophie blushed.
"No," Tam answered, stepping into view. "We're just trying to save you from a potential tribunal."
Keefe sighed loudly. "Nice to see you too, bangs boy."
Tam rolled his eyes.
"Keefe, I'm serious, where are you?" Sophie asked, fixing him with a glare.
Keefe grinned. "Safe. Don't worry, I'm being responsible."
He winked and Sophie wanted to jump through the imparter and strangle him. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible.
"Keefe," Tam said, his tone serious and leaning towards annoyance. "Where. Are. You?"
A sigh. "The Forbidden Cities, But no need to worry-"
"What?! Why?!" Sophie interrupted.
"I want a vacation," Keefe answered but Sophie knew he was lying.
"Come back, Sencen," Tam threatened. "Or Sophie and I will personally come find you ourselves and drag you back by your hair."
Sophie grinned.
"Woah, Song," Keefe said, eyebrows raised. "How dare you threaten The Hair?!"
Sophie and Tam rolled their eyes in unison.
"And a Foster plus Tammy tag team?! Trust me when I say, Team Foster-Keefe will always beat...Taphie!"
"Taphie?" Tam questioned, arching a brow.
"I know," Keefe gasped dramatically, "It sounds terrible. There's no ring to it!"
Sophie sighed. "Just...come home."
"Sorry Foster, but I do what I must. Don't come looking. Bye! Also, Tammy, just know I'm watching you."
He gave Tam one last look and then hung up.
Sophie fought the urge to chuck her imparter down the hallway. Tam grumbled something that sounded a lot like 'Taphie'.
"We're finding him, right?" Sophie asked
"Definitely," Tam agreed, looking determined.
Sophie thought back to every conversation they had in the last week until she came across one. "Eiffel Tower! Paris!"
Tam raised an eyebrow.
"I'll explain later," Sophie told him. "But now, we're going to Paris."
Let the 'Foster and Tammy tag team' begin.
