𝓐 cacophony of noise.
I press my palms against my ears struggling to block out the noise of sirens washing over me, and people's chatter gathers around. A once tame scenery now tainted with the pool of blood that gushed out from the cold, lifeless body of someone with the most beautiful smile.
I tuck my knees tightly into my chest, in the fetal position, and seek comfort from my imagination, in a calming place and time, where the worries of the world are no concern of my own and I am happy; my lips tremble, praying to the only thing that could help me out of this situation.
My eyes are sealed shut and I am trapped in my darkness, I deprive myself of one of my most important senses, sight. I begin to rock back and forth muttering for help and forgiveness. My eyes are barren from any tears but I feel the overwhelming sadness creep up on me which was replaced with a sharp pain released in my core.
This is supposed to be a calming afternoon, not a blood bath!
That's when I hear it, a final scream of agony is unleashed into the air more powerful and louder than the busiest of New York streets, my heart gnawing at my chest in response to screams, realising I don't know what to do and because of that this was over.
"PuSh mE aNd CHokE mE TiLl I pASs ouTTtttt," the lyrics flew out of my mouth with great passion. There's no greater feeling than getting ready high with a summer playlist in the background, if you had told me 40 minutes ago that I would have the motivation to take a shower I would've laughed in your face, that being if I even had the energy to laugh at all hence the use of drugs.
Me and going out were never on the same page, there was always a paragraph ready for me to use if I wanted to cancel on plans, why? Because I rarely visited my mom and the house during college I thougt it was time to go back home and stay for a while.
