Last year of the school and now the captains and the vice captains had to be changed and the previous captains were supposed to be promoted to higher positions while vice captains to and representatives' promotion were dependent on their performance in tenth and eleventh standard.
So again during the assembly time, Sage and Peyton were standing ahead in the line while Keyaa, Vlad and Ash stood behind and wished for nice promotions.
The principal came on the stage and announced "Good morning, as we all know that in the month of May we announce our new school council and it's president so we will start with the class 12th student's promotions and new positions followed by class 10th student's positions."
The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as the principal's voice echoed through the assembly. "We will begin with the Head of Cultural Activities and external competitions-Vlad Parker." A wave of applause swept through the crowd as Vlad stepped forward, his usual confident smile on display. Standing beside the principal, he listened as his achievements were announced. "Vlad is an artist, a singer, and a highly creative student. He's also the third topper of our eleventh-grade class." The principal gave him a congratulatory pat on the back, and Vlad's eyes scanned the crowd, catching Sage's proud smile.
Next, the principal continued, "Now, we have the Head of Publications-Keyaa Davis." Keyaa couldn't contain her excitement, nearly jumping out of her spot as she hurried to stand beside Vlad. The principal smiled warmly at her. "Keyaa is a talented writer in both English and French, with an impressive knowledge of Greek mythology. She recently published a book on this subject, which has been featured on the country's largest platform. We are incredibly proud to recognize her as a published author. Let's give her a big round of applause." The assembly responded with enthusiastic clapping, and Keyaa beamed, her eyes shining with pride.
The principal then turned to the next announcement. "Now, for the Head of Sports-Ash Scott and Peyton Wood." The two friends and now lovers, both captains of the school's football teams-Peyton for the girls and Ash for the boys-stepped forward. "Peyton Wood is our second topper in the eleventh grade, and Ash Scott has excelled in physical education, as well as winning an interschool filmmaking competition. Please give them a huge round of applause." The applause was deafening as Peyton and Ash advanced, pausing to share a quick hug with Sage before taking their places beside the others.
"Now, we have the Heads of communication-Dora Swansi and Shelly Miller," the principal announced. A wave of applause followed as the two girls, known for their writing prowess and exceptional pronunciation, made their way to the front. "Both Dora and Shelly have an impressive command of language. The principal then moved on to the next announcement. "Head of IT and community services-Adrian Walter and Raymond Park." The two boys, unable to contain their excitement, jumped up and down as they made their way to the front, standing beside Eva and Lana.
With all the heads announced, the principal addressed the assembly. "So, all the heads of different categories have been declared. The vice captains who haven't received specific positions will be promoted to House Captains of their respective houses. Now, for the most awaited announcement-the President of the Student Council.
