A/n: Sadé girl...lol, enjoy ☺️.

"Come on. You know this one." Sadé softly encourages. Jude stares at her eyes as if the answer to the question will magically appear in one of her brown irises.

"Are you sure we read about functionalism?" he whines, flopping down on her bed. Yes, Jude is in her room. Sadé was surprised when he messaged her a couple hours ago; she figured that since he took her to see that movie yesterday she wouldn't have heard from him for a while. So she was giddy when she had received a text from him asking her if she was busy. She had told him the truth, that she was studying. She had put her phone down thinking it was the end of the conversation since he took a while to reply, but he responded asking if he could come study with her. And since most of the buildings are closed on campus on a Sunday, it was either his room or hers- they decided hers was obviously the smarter choice. Nobody would possibly have their eyes on her room, she's nowhere near popular. Of course this means she has a lot of explaining to do to the wide-eyed Mikayla that she left in the kitchen on her way to her room with Jude, but she'll cross that bridge when she gets there.

"I hate this major, I just chose something to play ball. I'll get signed to a top club soon anyway I don't need this." he's practically pouting as he throws an arm over his closed eyes. Sadé can't help but giggle, she's never seen him so... relaxed, and against her baby pink sheets nonetheless. It makes something in her belly flutter.

"Well until then you need to pass your classes to keep your scholarship, you big baby. Also, I'm sure the functionalist theory is one of the first ones you must've been introduced to because even I am familiar with it and I only did it briefly in sixth form." She mutters with faux exasperation in her voice.

"Look at me, I'm Sadé and I'm so smart." He teases rolling his eyes playfully.

She throws her head back to cackle.

"Well, when you have the mother I have you kinda have to be." She doesn't mean to bring down the mood, in fact, she said it in the most conversational tone. But Jude's expression grows solemn. He reaches for a loose strand of her locs that's hanging in her face.

"How strict is she?"

"Very and also super religious. Back home, I only got the courage to start lying to her when I turned 19, that's when I went to my first party and lied that I was only seeing a movie with friends. That's the night I had my first drink too. I thought studying abroad would finally allow me some freedom from her rigidity but um..." she pauses, clearing her throat, "anyway, you're not escaping, who's one of the theorists credited for the functionalist theory?"
Jude says nothing for a while. He sits, twirling her hair around his finger as he stares at the writing on her shirt- "Camp Maverley, christian camp for teens." He suddenly brings both his hands to her waist, lifting her effortlessly to straddle his lap. Then they're kissing. Sadé sighs into it, she had already missed the sensation of his lips on hers and it's only been a couple of hours. She breaks away from his lips briefly, gasping.

"Parsons." It's so breathy it's almost inaudible.

"What?" He cocks his head to the side, lips kiss-swollen and eyes concentrating only on her mouth.

"Talcott Parsons, one of the theorists."

"Sure." And he's kissing her again. The first stroke of his tongue against hers has her hips rolling. She can't help it, it's almost as if it's reflexive. His hands toy with the hem of her shirt, teasing. Her body locks tight with anticipation. Should I allow him to? Am I ready for this? Her thoughts are interrupted by his phone going off. He groans in her mouth but doesn't pull away, instead, he suckles on her tongue and Sadé moans, hips grinding down on him harder. Harder, he's-
His phone goes off again almost immediately after stopping. He rips away from her desperate mouth and Sadé whimpers, immediately seeking out his lips again with hers. He placates her by rubbing a soothing hand up and down her back.
