REAL LIFE
Delaney was busy preparing snacks and setting up blankets and pillows in the living room of her house. She had invited some her closest friends over for a fun slumber party, and she couldn't wait for them to arrive. She had told them all to bring their own pillows and comfortable pajamas for the night. It was going to be a fun-filled night of games, movies, and lots of girl talk. She checked her phone for the tenth time, eager for the first guest to arrive.
As if on cue, there was a knock on the door. Delaney quickly ran to open it and found Walker standing outside. He was carrying a small overnight bag and wore a relaxed grin on his face.
"Hey," Delaney said, smiling up at him. "You're here early." Walker shrugged, stepping inside. "Yeah, I was bored and thought I'd come over early to help you set up."
Delaney closed the door behind him and led him into the living room where she had arranged a few snacks on the coffee table. "Thanks, that would be awesome. I've got some stuff ready, but I could use some help setting up the rest of the blankets and pillows."
Walker followed her into the living room and put down his overnight bag. He glanced around, taking in the cozy atmosphere. "Looks like you've got things pretty well organized already."
Delaney grinned, pleased that her efforts were noticed. "Yeah, I wanted to make sure everything was perfect for tonight. I can't wait for everyone to get here."
Walker picked up a bunch of pillows and started arranging them on the floor. "I'm sure it's going to be a blast. Who else is coming again?"
Delaney counted off on her fingers. "Well, there's Leah, Dior, Charlie, Danielle, and then my three cousins Alora, Aviva, and Aneria. Hopefully they all show up." She said
Walker nodded, grabbing a few blankets and spreading them out next to the pillows. "Kinda a big crowd.Are you sure you're going to have enough food for those big backs?"
Delaney scoffed, playfully offended. "Of course I do! I've got all the essentials. chips, popcorn, candy, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Trust me, no one will go hungry tonight. Well unless someone eats it all" she said thinking of Aryan even though he's not going to be there unfortunately
Walker chuckled, shaking his head. "I have no doubt about that. You always know how to throw a good party."
Delaney grinned by hearing the compliment. "Thanks. That means a lot coming from you."
They finished setting up the blankets and pillows, and Delaney flopped down onto one of the soft chairs in the corner of the room. "I think we're all set now."
