It took minutes before the door went wide open with a sound of creaking, revealing Loren standing like a fallen soldier ready to give up everything she owns. They stood in the foyer so awkward yet familiar, like two pieces of a puzzle unsure if they'd still fit together. With a screaming heart, Pia embraced her. She let herself crash onto Loren's figure, wrapping her hands around her as if she belongs to her. The hug was a clue that some connections are never truly lost, even when life's scissor once cut their telephone of love.

The brunette's throat tightened with unleashed words, "I missed you."

The blaring sound of an alarm blared inside a familiar room. With a groan escaping through her lips, she reached out to silence the noise her hand was fumbling over the clock on her bedside table- eager to turn it off. As the screeching noise faded, she took a deep breath and slowly opened her eyes and glanced around the room. And there, a punch of realization and reality hit her.

"Oh..." A tint of disappointment in her voice as she looked at the window, the sun's wrath was already filtering through the blue curtains.

The brunette sat up in bed and hugged her feet. Her hand ran through her disheveled hair as she scanned the walls at the familiar surroundings. The room felt unusually gloomy in the early morning. Pia rubbed her eyes and sighed, the dream she had just woken from felt so real and striking through her core, but now it seemed to slip through her fingers like sand on the beach. She stayed like that for a brief, her mind was glued on that dream while piercing everything. She looked into the void for a minute, it was confusing because it felt so real for her, the warm embrace was still lingering around in her senses.

A tear subconsciously fell down.

Mornings for her shouldn't be like this- she wanted it to be therapeutic and calming as if watching the bluish ocean create tiny ripples as the young light kiss the salty water. Pia's stillness was shattered as she heard footsteps. She looked to the right side and was greeted by Sonny with a smile plastered on his face.

Pia immediately wiped away the tear on her left cheek and puffed out a smile, "Oh, hi."

"Good morning, pretty." The man went towards her and kissed her forehead, "I made you a Spanish latte." He then tucked her disheveled hair behind her ear.

Pia sucked her breath. Perhaps things were still blowing the ashes of burned memories. Loren used to make her a coffee every fresh mornings- a cappuccino one. She used to kiss her, but on the cheek because for her it was more romantic.

"Really? Oh my, I missed drinking that one." A lie. She doesn't drink Spanish latte, she preferred the richer and strong flavor of caffeine.

"Ang ganda mo talaga," The man's eyes disappeared as he smiled which received a chuckle from the brunette, "I'll go now, okay? They need me eh, kung hindi lang sabay nalang sana tayo."

Pia nodded and stood up in-front of the man with formal attire and fixed his neck tie, "It's okay, I'll drive myself." She playfully slap the man's chest, "Go now, baka hinahanap ka na."

The man leaned in to kiss her but Pia was too quick to grab his face and kissed him on the cheek, the brunette gave him a cheeky smile before she turned around.

"You're silly you know."

"Sobra na yung kiss." The brunette chuckled.

"Aalis na ako, madam. Damot mo naman, buti nalang mahal kita."

Before Pia could spit her last words, the man was already walking out. She shook her head as she watched Sonny's figure fading away. The brunette then proceeded to go the bathroom and did her morning routine, it took God knows how many minutes before she could finally pamper and dress herself up. Good thing she has extra garments inside Sonny's closet— she kept that there in case of emergency.
