𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐀 had just landed in hartford, conneticut for the new school year. it wasn't as hard to let go of texas as she'd thought it would be. there wasn't much to miss- it was hot as hell and all her friends were in maryland and connecticut. she stood around the baggage carousel, waiting to catch sight of her grey suitcases.
once valentina saw them she raced to grab them, ready to leave the airport and see her friends who went to uconn. being in connecticut was like a breath of fresh air. her friend, sophia, was outside the airport in her silver car, much like she said she'd be.
her yellow-ish blonde hair was plunged over her shoulders and she wore a white cropped sweater with light pink mom jeans. "val!" she called out once she saw the girl. her voice was soft and slightly high pitched so it was easy to tell who she was.
"soph!" valentina smiled as the girl through her arms around her neck, embracing her in a hug. "i'm so happy you're here. now our trio is back, a duo just didn't feel right." sophia, valentina, and their other friend, miranda, met at a dance competition when they were thirteen.
valentina had asked her dad to get her tickets since the competition was in maryland and he complied, not being able to say no to his little girl. sophia and miranda were on different teams and they did great in valentina's opinion, but neither of them got first place- instead second and third.
afterwards, she introduced herself to them and they'd been inseperable despite living in other states. they found a way to hangout every weekend and spent every birthday together.
when the two saw valentina dance for the first time, they said she was something similar to an angel, gracing the whole audience with pirouettes and pliés. they'd also given the girl the nickname "ballerina baller" after finding out valentina played basketball.
