"Happy birthday sweetie." his mom said as she smiled as she sets a birthday cake infront of him on the table.
"Thanks mom." The boy said as he smiled back.
Today he was turning fourteen, he was excited but quite a little not settled himself yet as his age.
The boy then blew out the candles. He looked down thought seeming sad.
"I know, your dad didn't make it to your birthday.. But, I have something you might like.." She said as she gave him a small wrapped box.
He was curious on what it was but opened it. There was a game disc that had the cover title of "The masquerade's blade: The Dark Soul Returns". He was happy by the looks of it, he wanted this game for so long, everybody talked about it at school.
He then finds to see a note that reads, "hey kiddo, sorry Im not able to see you right now. I got held up in the office, so I guess your favorite game you always wanted would make it up. - Dad". The boy had a little hint of surprise but, was rather very thankful his dad got the game he wanted.
