Third Person POV

A week after their heartfelt reconciliation, Evelyn fell ill. She tried to brush it off as fatigue, but Hazel insisted on taking her to the hospital. His concern deepened when the doctor suggested running some tests.

After what felt like an eternity, the doctor returned with a gentle smile. "Congratulations, Evelyn, Hazel. You're going to be parents. Evelyn is pregnant."

Hazel's eyes widened with pure joy. "I'm... I'm going to be a father?" He couldn't believe it. At just twenty years old, the news felt surreal but thrilling. He turned to Evelyn, expecting to see her sharing in his happiness.

Instead, Evelyn's face was pale, her expression unreadable. She managed a weak smile but remained silent.

As they left the hospital, Hazel couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. Once they were home, he gently guided Evelyn to the couch and sat beside her, holding her hand. "Evelyn, what's wrong? You haven't said much since we got the news."

Evelyn took a deep breath, her eyes avoiding his. "Hazel, I'm not fond of kids. I never have been. And I... I don't want anyone, not even our baby, to come between us."

Hazel's heart ached at her words. He knew how deeply rooted her fears and insecurities were, but he also believed in the potential for change. "Evelyn, this is our baby. I know you'll be an amazing mother. And I'll be there every step of the way to support you."

Evelyn looked into his eyes, seeing the sincerity and love there. Despite her reservations, she nodded, moved by Hazel's unwavering support. "Okay, Hazel. For you, I'll try. But I need you to promise me something."

"Anything," Hazel replied without hesitation.

"Promise me that you'll always love me, no matter what. And that we won't let anything, or anyone, come between us."

Hazel hugged her tightly. "I promise, Evelyn. I'll be the best father and husband I can be."

Days turned into weeks, and Hazel took his promise seriously. He decided to take a break from the limelight, focusing entirely on caring for Evelyn and their future child. He made sure Evelyn had everything she needed, from breakfast to dinner. He handled all the household chores, ensuring Evelyn could rest as much as possible.

Evelyn, though still struggling with her feelings, was amazed by Hazel's dedication. She watched as he managed everything with such grace and care, his love for her evident in every action.

One day, Evelyn had an important business meeting and left the house in a hurry, forgetting to have breakfast. Concerned, Hazel decided to bring her lunch. He arrived at her office, carrying a carefully packed meal, and asked for Evelyn at the reception.

Heads turned as Hazel entered, his beauty and presence mesmerizing everyone in the room. He felt uncomfortable under their shameless stares and repeated his request to see Evelyn, but received no response as people around him started flirting.

Jessica, (Evelyn's best friend and the wife of her assistant Kevin,) noticed the commotion. She immediately intervened, her protective instincts kicking in. "Hazel, Come with me. Evelyn is in her office."

Hazel smiled gratefully and followed Jessica. Once they were in Evelyn's cabin, he set the lunch on her desk and introduced himself more formally.

Jessica observed Hazel closely, realizing how innocent and sweet he was. She felt a sudden urge to protect him, almost like an older sister. "Hazel, you're really something else. Evelyn's lucky to have you."

Hazel blushed slightly, looking down. "I just want to make her happy. And... I want to be a good father."

Jessica's heart warmed at his sincerity. "You're doing great, Hazel. And don't worry, I'll make sure no one bothers you when you come here."

As Hazel and Jessica continued to talk, a bond began to form. Jessica felt a growing sense of responsibility for him, determined to support him in any way she could. She knew Evelyn's jealous streak, but she also saw how much Hazel meant to her.

When Evelyn returned to her office and saw Hazel waiting with lunch, she felt a mix of emotions. Seeing him interact with Jessica, she felt a pang of jealousy but also a deep appreciation for Hazel's efforts.

"Hazel, you didn't have to come all the way here," Evelyn said, though her tone was softer than usual.

"I wanted to make sure you had something to eat," Hazel replied, his eyes full of concern. "You left in such a hurry."

Evelyn sighed, feeling both touched and conflicted. "Thank you, Hazel. I appreciate it."

As Hazel wrapped his arms around her, Evelyn felt a sliver of her jealousy melt away.

Evelyn knew she needed to show Hazel how much she appreciated everything he was doing for her. So, she decided to give him a surprise.

One afternoon, she handed him a small box with a key inside.

Hazel's eyes widened when he saw the key. "Evelyn, what's this?"

"It's a gift," she said, leading him outside where a brand-new red Ferrari was parked. "I wanted to thank you for everything you've done."

Hazel stared at the car, speechless. He had never driven such a costly car before. "Evelyn, this is... incredible. Thank you."

She smiled, pleased with his reaction. "You deserve it, Hazel. You've been amazing."

Soon, Hazel began helping Evelyn manage her hotel. To avoid drawing too much attention, he started wearing mask again, trying to blend into the background as much as possible. He insisted Evelyn rest while he took on more responsibilities.

Hazel started handling events, making sure everything ran smoothly. When he returned home, he did housework, ensuring Evelyn could relax. He balanced both his responsibilities at the hotels and at home with a quiet determination that only made Evelyn's admiration for him grow.

One evening, after a long day at the hotel, Hazel drove his Ferrari to a nearby pizza place. He knew Evelyn had been craving ice cream and pizza, so he decided to surprise her. As he walked out with the bags, a few people glanced at him curiously, but he quickly got back into the car and drove home.

When he arrived, Evelyn's face lit up at the sight of the pizza and ice cream. "Hazel, you remembered!" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with joy.

Hazel smiled, watching as she ate with the enthusiasm of a child. "Of course, I did. I want you to have everything you crave."

Evelyn ate happily, savoring every bite. As she glanced at Hazel, she noticed the weariness in his eyes, the way his shoulders slumped slightly. He was clearly exhausted, but he tried to hide it.

Seeing this, Evelyn felt a surge of emotion. Tears welled up in her eyes as she realized just how hard Hazel was working for her. "Hazel," she said softly, reaching out to touch his hand. "You're doing so much. You need to rest too."

Hazel shook his head, his smile gentle. "I'm fine, Evelyn. I want to take care of you."

Evelyn's heart ached at his words. "I know, but I don't want you to burn out. You need to take care of yourself too."

Hazel nodded, though she could see he was still determined to put her first. "I will, Evelyn. I promise."

That night, as Hazel finally allowed himself to rest, Evelyn watched over him, her heart swelling with love and gratitude. She vowed to herself that she would find a way to make things easier for him, to ensure he knew just how much he meant to her.

Evelyn knew she had a lot to work through, but with Hazel by her side, she felt stronger. She would do everything in her power to support him, just as he supported her. Together, they would face whatever challenges lay ahead, their bond growing stronger with each passing day.
