Their worlds collided one frosty December morning. Scarlett had been digging into a story about a series of suspicious business deals, all leading back to Frost Enterprises.
She was determined to expose the truth, but she hadn't expected to run into Alexander himself, quite literally, as she rounded the corner of a busy street."Watch where you're going," Alexander snapped, his voice cold enough to send a chill down her spine.

Scarlett looked up, her retort ready on her lips, but it froze when she saw who she had bumped into. "Alexander Frost, in the flesh. I guess hell really did freeze over."

He arched an eyebrow, a smirk playing at the corner of his lips. "Scarlett Hayes. I've heard you're a thorn in many sides, but I didn't expect you to be so... direct."

She shrugged, unfazed. "Life's too short for subtlety. Especially when I'm on the hunt for the truth."

"Truth," he repeated, his tone mocking.

"A noble pursuit. But be careful, Ms. Hayes. Some truths are better left buried."
