The sun is shining, the birds are tweeting from their shredded nests, as multicolored leaves surround it on the lawn. Running freely across said lawn, one small cat leads an army through the street, making clear their reign over their canine enemies. Sharpening their claws upon the road made of tuna scales, they cause the dogs to cower in fear within their small houses. And high in the sky is a castle for this feline army, made of string and feathers, all tied perfectly together, accompanied by a labyrinth of soft platforms and rooms for each of them to sleep in. Leaving the road and houses below, coming to their rightful place high above every creature on earth, the cats enter, and bathe themselves like no one is watching.
Caya lays sprawled out within this heavenly place in the sky, licking herself clean, slowly, gliding her tongue along the length of her leg; before inevitably coughing up a hairball. Disturbed slightly from her rest, the paradisiacal wonders of her dreams fade away. She's greeted by a mostly empty bed as her eyes blink open several times. Yawning wide, she lifts her face up from her legs; turns out she moves in her sleep, quite odd for a cat like herself. But no matter, what bugs her the most is that her stomach is rumbling loudly. She slept past her dinner time. Jumping down off the bed, slowly, she crosses the bedroom and approaches the back of Marie's desk chair, and meows tiredly, and quietly, to beg for attention.
Marie, hearing not only her soft landing, but also her quiet greeting, can't help but smile as she sets down her pen and turns around to face her cat. She leans down, and picks up Caya. "Good evening Caycay. Did you sleep well?"
Caya responds happily, swaying her tail as she's placed upon Marie's legs.
"Did you enjoy licking yourself?" Marie asks, coming as a shock to Caya, who squints her eyes and glares at her. And Marie laughs. "I guess you did! Must have been some dream..I've heard dogs dream about chasing squirrels or chewing on bones, but what do you dream of, Caya?"
A long meow of urgency comes from Caya, as she begins to, in a way, snack her lips, sticking her tongue out to lick around her fangs, indicating she wishes to eat. Before she can look over at the door, wishing to leave the room, she's scooped up in Marie's arms and carried through the air. The door opens with a click, and the brightly illuminated hallway greets her; a shocking change of light compared to Marie's darkened room. As her eyes adjust to the change, Marie quickly brings her into the kitchen, and places her by her bowls, where she then lays down; still tired.
'She's taking too long' is a thought that may come across Caya's mind as she watches Marie prepare her food. How hard could it be to mix her favorite meal? Wet food, a bit of tuna, maybe a splash of raw meat, how long could it possibly take her? Caya only watches as Marie, her loving and thoughtful owner, keeps a promise she herself forgot about...the promise of extra tuna. And Caya slowly rises from her stomach as Marie pulls out not only one can of tuna, but a second. She licks her fangs in anticipation. Usually, she gets one whole can. Will she get two for being such a great kitty?
Marie scoops out the one small can of tuna, tosses it away into a recycling can, and looks down at Caya. "Caycayyyy~" she coos with a smirk. "Since you've been good, aside from breaking out and coming to school, I think you deserve extra, right? Poor, traumatized little thing. I understand though," she adds, mixing in a second, delectable can. "School can be traumatizing at times...Enjoy your dinner, Caycay."
Caya doesn't need to be told twice. She digs in immediately, and shovels down one bit of tuna after the next, as it slowly dwindles into her wet food to finish her sustenance for this night. When she's finished, licking her fangs clean off every morsel of tuna she can find, she looks up, wishing to thank Marie. But Marie is paying her no attention. Odd..Caya ponders, following her down the hall. She wonders if Marie is tired, and wants to return to her dark bedroom. But strangely enough, the room isn't dark, it's light.
