Azzi's POV

Todays the day where the decision needs to be made on where i am committing myself too. Having had many conversations with different colleges, i have narrowed it down slightly. It's currently 8am and i have until 2pm to make my decision so for today, i'll be gathering my last thoughts before announcing it to everyone.

Text messages with Paigey :):

Azzi: Good morning sunshine. Just messaging to let you know i'm deciding today. I also wanted to say i miss you so much.

Paigey:): Good morning angel. Just know that whatever decision you make, i'll be the proudest friend! i also miss you so much :(

Azzi: Wish you was here right now🫠

Paigey:): I'll be there soon. Just focus on the task ahead and we'll speak later okay. Love you x

Azzi: Yeah okay. Love you x

Paige's POV

Having had lots of talks with Azzi about where she's feeling about going, i'm fully convinced that she'll be choosing Uconn. I had a phone call with Geno this morning and he said that Uconn and LSU are the two that she's choosing between for the final decision. I mean i don't want to pressure her too much but i hope she chooses us.

I've decided that because she may need a shoulder to cry on or even just have that someone there with her today, i'm booking a flight to surprise her so i'm with her when she makes her final decision. Everyone knows expect for her which is really important to me.

It's currently 8:30am and my flight is in around an hour, i'm fully packed and making my way over to the airport which is only down the road from where i live.

Text message with Azzi :):

Paige: I'm not going to be able to message much today, but just call me when you've put your decision in. Running errands so my phone will be off. Enjoy your day with your loved ones Az. Your special <3

Azzi:): You mean the absolute world to me PB. Thank you for the support so far. I hope you enjoy your day and please be safe. Talk later <3

Paige's stopped sharing her location with you

Azzi's POV:

Having that notification that Paige has stopped sharing her location with me has made me question a thing or two, like why am i so upset over my friend stopping me from seeing it? Does she mean more to me than i realise?

To get my mind off of the situation, i had my final phone calls with LSU and Uconn and they both got me to make up my mind.

After finishing the phone calls, i make my way to Starbucks to grab a quick coffee and snack before calling the college i've committed my future too.

On this drive i really find myself wanting to call Paige but anytime i do go to call her, i goes straight to voicemail. Odd.

After having my Starbucks and a quick Cake pop, i make my way back to my house with the lil bro. As we approach our house, i spot a taxi outside mine that's just leaving. This is so weird. Has family come to celebrate the decision that i don't know about?

Paige's POV

I arrive at Azzi's house and luckily she's still out with her brother. Her mam and dad help me set up the area in which i want to surprise her in her room and we're all set.

As i'm looking around at the photos in her room, i hear the front door open and the sound of Azzi's voice which makes me smile. This is my que to get into place.

Footsteps come closer and closer to the room and the door opens and Azzi's in a middle of a conversation with her mam about how much she wishes i was here right now, which really touched my heart.

"Heard you asked for me" i said with my arms open.

All Azzi could do was run straight towards me and pull me around her. I feel like she needed this moment so much.

"I was wondering why you was being off with the location and not answering my calls. I missed you"
"I'm here now. I'm sorry i had to do all of it but i hope it's worth this feeling"
"It sure is. If you wait here, i just need to go call my new college"

Azzi's POV

"Yeah hey Geno, i'm committing to you guys at Uconn. I can't wait to get started".

"Azzi you're going to fit in so well. Welcome to the team! See you soon!"

After finishing the call with Geno, i head back into my room to which Paige is fast asleep on my bed. I place my fluffy blanket on top of her and i can't help by stare at her. She looks even cuter when she sleeps.

After an hour, i decide to wake her up by telling her the news about commuting to Uconn.

"I'm a Huskie"
"I never have to leave your side now for the next few years. I'm so glad you chose us"
"It's thanks to you Paigey"
"The pleasure is all mine Miss Fudd"

We spent the rest of the night in eachothers arms and i can't help but think of the next few years and what it's going to look like.
