No one understood the origins or the cause of these powers, but one sentiment spread like wildfire: they were dangerous... or so they said.

HUMANITY has always had a ruthless instinct to reject what is different. To ostracize, isolate, and demonize. When the first "abnormal" was exposed, it ignited mass hysteria. Panic swept across the globe, fueled by the revelation that these beings were not as benign as some had hoped.
