Episode 1

**Cold Open:**

**Act 1:**

- **Dialogue:** Cat Grant gives Kara a hard time, showcasing her tough demeanor. James Olsen, a recent transfer from Metropolis, is introduced as a new colleague and potential love interest. Kara and her best friend, Winn Schott, share a light-hearted moment, highlighting their close friendship.

- **Scene 3:** National City Airport. A flight carrying Alex and other passengers faces a critical engine failure. In a moment of desperation, Kara decides to use her powers publicly for the first time to save the plane.

**Act 2:**

- **Scene 5:** DEO (Department of Extranormal Operations) Headquarters. Kara is introduced to the DEO, led by Hank Henshaw. Alex reveals she is an agent of the DEO, and they explain their mission to protect Earth from extraterrestrial threats. Kara meets her new team and learns about the escaped prisoners from Fort Rozz, a Kryptonian prison that crashed on Earth when Krypton exploded.

**Act 3:**

**Act 4:**

- **Scene 10:** CatCo Worldwide Media. Kara returns to work, exhausted but triumphant. Cat Grant praises the mysterious Supergirl in her column, while still pushing for an exclusive interview.
- **Dialogue:** Kara and James Olsen share a moment, hinting at a budding friendship (or more). James reveals he knows Superman and offers to help Kara navigate her new role as a hero.
- **Scene 11:** DEO Headquarters. Kara officially joins the DEO as an agent, with Alex by her side. Hank Henshaw gives Kara a communicator, symbolizing her new partnership with the DEO.
- **Scene 12:** Kara's apartment. Kara and Alex celebrate her first victory. Kara looks out over the city, determined to protect it as Supergirl.

**Tag Scene:**

- **Scene:** A shadowy figure, revealed to be Kara's aunt Astra, watches news footage of Supergirl's debut. She speaks ominously about a coming war and her plans for Kara.
