"Yo, Delilah hurry up," my brother called from the kitchen practically hollering. "what Cody!" i hollered back. He didn't answer, i said my last and final goodbye to my room, well now old room. I ran downstairs with a couple of boxes full of my stuff and entered the kitchen. Cody greeted me with a head nod then said " were gonna be late, we are gonna miss the flight." as he left the kitchen loading some stuff into the truck. I ignored him and put my boxes into the moving truck. I got my suitcase and carry on. Cody did the same. Our parents had been waiting for us in the car. We got in and headed to the airport.

"So kids, you excited?" my dad asked. Simultaneously my brother and i said "no," My mother replied with " come on its not that bad,"

Yes it is i kept repeating in head. I imagined Cody did the same. At our, now old school Cody was the star quarterback of the football team, the guy all girls wanted. I was a normal girl, had lots of friends everything was perfect, that is until we had to move.

My mom was a flight attendant and my dad was a pilot. They weren't home a lot because of work. And now they had to move for work and stuff like that. We had to move to Huntsville, Texas. Can you imagine? From NY to TX. Cody and i were pretty unhappy. After a year in Texas we would have to move so on and so fourth. So as a compromise my parents would let my brother and i stay in TX while my parents traveled. We were old enough, Soon to be seniors in high school. So i guess it wasn't half bad.

We got to the airport and boarded the plane. It was a full 26 hours. Yay, note the sarcasm. I fell asleep listening to my music.

I woke up to my brother poking me. I cursed at him groggily. Cody then put on a fake shocked face. we had arrived 2 hours after me being woken up. "come on Delilah and Cody," my mother said.

We were in the car for a 2 hour drive to our house, on the way i spotted a baseball field. I quickly made note to visit it so i could practice some softball so i could try out for the team my new school had.the field was only about 10 mins from our house which was in the deep countryside away from the shops and things. The only other thing near our house were six other house 3 on our side and 3 across the street or  "road," each house was about 3 feet of distance from every house

we got into the new house and unpacked. It was a big house with a yard and porch. my parents had work in an 1hr, it was a three day trip so they  quickly unpacked the necessities, got their trip stuff and bid their goodbyes to us, giving us the be safe lecture blah blah blah, which of course Cody and i ignored. They left and we had 2 weeks till school started. What else were we to do besides go to the baseball field and practice, we didn't have any friends so we used all our time to practice. Even though Cody played football he was still good at baseball. But i had played baseball all my life so i had an advantage.
