Chapter 12

Ivy

I woke up in the middle of the night with a headache.

Willow came home not too long ago. She should be sleeping by now.

I got out of bed and made my way downstairs, wanting a glass of water.

I yawned as I opened the fridge and took out a bottle of water, twisting the cap off and putting it straight to my mouth.

Once I was finished, I placed it back into the fridge with just half of it left. I turn around and that's when I saw the black door at the staircase.

I'm so curious as to what's in it. But she told me not to go in there. But that didn't help my curiosity.

I took a deep breath before walking over to the door. I put a hand on the handle, and pushing it forward. Why is it open though? I expected it to be fully closed.

It was too dark for me to see though-

"Ivy? What you doing up so late?"

I turn around to see Willow standing there, phone in hand looking at me. Her flashlight is so bright.

"I was thirsty, I needed a bit of water." I answered, hoping she wouldn't be bad or think I'm lying to her.

She sighed and pulled me out of the room before closing the door and turning the lights on. "Just a drink of water huh? Don't think we store water in there. I told you, you're not allowed in there."

"I know." I look up at her. "I was just curious and my curiosity got the better of me." I got closer to her, wrapping my arms around her neck. "Please don't be mad."

Willow sighed. "I'm not mad. Just a bit disappointed that you let your curiousity get the better of you." She wrapped her arms around my waist, lifting me up and my legs automatically wrapped around her.

"Come on, let's get you back into bed."

Sorry for the short chapter guys. I've been a bit stressed and I've taken a bit of time off from writing and working on my drafts too. But I will try to be consistent again because I really want to finish this book.

Also I'm going to be doing a longer chapter and it involves a new character, a rival of sorts for Willow that goes to the same college of Ivy.
