Noel! Leon! Breakfast is ready!" a feminine voice called from downstairs. "Get up!" A girl with platinum blonde hair poked her head out from under her covers. "Ugh, morning already?" she said as she rubbed her eyes.
"Good morning to you too, Captain Obvious," came a voice from the foot of her bed.
"Shut it. Now get out, Leon!"
"Fine. Hurry up,though! We don't want Mom throwing a hissy fit."
"Agreed."
Noel got out of bed and went to her closet. She pulled out an underdress and a sleeveless forest green dress, and went behind her changing screen. 15 minutes later, she went downstairs. "Morning dear!" a voice came from the kitchen.
"Morning Mom," Noel said as she sat down at the kitchen table. She then turned and said to Leon, "Any idea on why she's so happy? She hasn't been this nice to us since Lynn disappeared."
"Beats me. How about you?"
"No you dunce! That's why I asked you in the first place!"
Right then, the twin's mother turned around and said, "Noel and Leon, you're both going to Trinity Institute! The carriage is coming tomorrow, so enjoy your time left here!"
The twins looked at each other in shock. Trinity Institute had many incidents where its soon to be graduates disappeared without a trace.
"Isn't it such an honor to be going to such a noble institution?" their mother continued as she gave them a dirty look.
"Yeah...It is," responded Leon. Noel glared at him and muttered "What are you doing?"
"I'm throwing her suspicions off us, you clueless rat!" Leon countered softly.
"Rude."
"Now, now. Stop your bickering and start eating, you two," the twin's mother said as she placed a bowl of porridge in front of each of the twins. "Eat up!"
After the twins were done eating, they went upstairs to Noel's room. Once the door was closed, they didn't speak so they could hear if anyone was coming up. After a minute passed, Leon spoke up. "We need to get out of here. If we don't, the consequences could be dire," he stated as he folded his arms defensively across his chest.
"I couldn't have said it better myself," Noel agreed. "So, what's the plan?"
