Chapter Sixteen

Chapter 16

It had been a few day and Virgil had to take Grandma Tracy over to see Lady Penelope. Gordon and Alan were in the pool racing each other, Kayo was helping Brains in his lab.

Claire was in the laundry room doing the washing, Scott was walking past and stops to watch Claire.

Scott's thoughts-

I know that I shouldn't but I can't stop thinking about Claire.

Scott walked in and closed the door too, he walked over to Claire and turns her around to face him.

Claire was shocked and asked. "Scott what......"

That's all she said before Scott kissed her, she tried pushing him away.

Once they parted Scott says. "I'm sorry but I can't stop thinking about you"

Claire was very upset. "Scott I already told you, I Love Virgil"

Scott sighs. "I know but I can't stop how I feel about you"

Claire didn't want to be alone with Scott, she went leave but he stopped her and pushed her against the wall.

She sighs. "Scott no I don't want this"

He didn't listen to Claire and kissed her roughly, she tried to fight him off of her but it was no use. She stopped fighting as to not hurt hers and Virgil's unborn baby, Scott then kissed her passionately.

Emma had been look for he mum when she looks through the gap in the door, she sees her mum fighting off her uncle Scott and that she was crying too. Emma runs off and outside into the jungle, she wanted her daddy to come and save her mum and to make things better.

It had been a few hours when Virgil and Grandma returned home, they went to the living room only to find Gordon and Alan were playing a board game.

Looking around worriedly, Virgil asked. "Have you two seen Claire or Emma?"

Looking up Gordon answers. "I haven't seen Claire for a few hours, but I think Emma ran out the house upset"

Without saying anything Virgil ran out to look For Emma, he searched the jungle till he found her sitting next to a tall palm tree.

He kneels down and says. "Emma what's wrong princess?"

She looks up at her daddy. "Daddy you need to help mummy"

Virgil was confused. "Where is mummy and why does she need saving?"

She replies crying. "I saw uncle Scott kissing mummy, and mummy was fighting him off and crying"

He stayed calm for now and picked his daughter up, then carried her back to the house where he saw his Grandma in the kitchen.

He put Emma down and walked with her over to his Grandma. "Grandma can you watch Emma for a minute please?"

Turning around Grandma nods. "Yes of course dear"

He kneels down so he was eye level with his daughter. "Princess where did you see mummy?"

Look at her daddy she replies. "In the laundry room"

Virgil got up and ran to the laundry room to help Claire and to put his brother in his place, as he got closer he heard crying and saw Scott coming out smiling. He looking inside and saw how Claire was upset, he looked to his brother angrily.

Virgil grabbed Scott and pinned him to the wall. "What have you done to Claire?"

Still smiling he answers. "I just kissed her"

He wanted to hit Scott but let him go for now, Virgil went in the room and hugged Claire and said soothing words.

She calmed down a little. "I'm sorry Virgil I never wanted him to kiss me, I tried fighting him off of me"

He gently picked up and took her down to the medical room to get checked over. Brains checked her over then went out of the room to update Virgil.

Sighing Brains tells Virgil. "Cl.....aire is going to b......be fine, so is your baby...... I was going to d......do a sc...an"

Nodding Virgil followed Brains back inside, Virgil went over to Claire and held her hand. She opens her eyes and looks to Virgil, she still had red puffy eyes and a scared look.

After setting up the ultra sound machine, Brains put some cool gel on Claire's tummy after putting her top up a bit. Both Claire and Virgil watched as Brains moved the transducer around to look at the baby and hear the heartbeat.

Virgil was worried and asked. Brains is something wrong?"

He turns to look at the two expectant parents. "No not...ing is wro....ng, you're having twins"

Both Claire and Virgil were shocked but happy, they look at the screen of their twins then look at each other.

Still in shock Claire says. "I can't believe that were having twins"

Looking to Claire and kissing her Virgil says. "I can't either but in happy that we are"

Once they were finished and Claire had been given strict orders that she must rest, both Virgil and Claire went up to the kitchen. They saw only Emma was sitting at the table, while Grandma was cooking. They sat down to tell Emma first that they are having twins and that Emma was going to be a big sister to two babies.

Claire looks to Emma. "Emma dear you're going to be a big sister to two babies, I'm having twins"

She stared for a few minutes before smiling and hugging her parents. "I can't wait till they arrive"

While Emma was telling Claire how she wanted to help went her siblings arrive, Virgil went up to the living room to have a talk with Scott.

Sitting at the desk and with no one else about, Virgil walked up to Scott and hit him so hard that he now has a split lip.

He was angry. "Don't you ever kiss or do anything to my wife, she loves me and married me"

Standing up Scott looks to his brother. "I'm sorry I know it was wrong, I just couldn't help myself.......... it won't happen again"

Sighing Virgil nods. "It better not"

They both went down to the kitchen to eat as Grandma call everyone down. She looks up and sees Virgil and Scott walking up to the table to sit down to eat.

Before anyone else came Scott looks to Claire. "Claire I'm sorry for what I did to you, it won't happen again"

She looks at Scott and sees his split lip. "I married Virgil because I love him, I already told this before"

Before anything else could be said the others came in and sat down to eat. Virgil and Claire told everyone that they are having twins, they also showed them the ultra sound photo of the twins.

Everyone congratulated Virgil and Claire and were talking about the nursey that needs to be set up. After eating Gordon was on washing up duty, Alan went to his room, Claire and Emma were building with the lego, while Scott started to mend his brother relationship with Virgil by helping him with the start on the nursey.

Several hours later everyone was in bed asleep, Claire was awake cuddled up to Virgil. she was think and hoping that everything would be ok, and that nothing else would happen to her family.

She fell asleep with the case against the social worker on her mind and hoped to never seeing her again.
