Cold And Warm

Abhi's POV

I walk up as the warm glow of the sum peeps through the curtains. But sadly I can't enjoy it for much and have to leave my bed as I streched my limbs and then stood up from the bed the cold tiles and the warmth making a stark contrast working well with each other. I further did my morning routine and got ready for my work. I work at the prestigious corporation of Cummins and co's it's an Australian company of course it would be as I'm in Australia.

I moved here after my internship in Indian branch and then getting recruited here. I am quite alone here not like I don't like my peace our my alone time but I sometimes our maybe all the time feel foreign here but I couldn't just leave the job offer I get quite a handsome salary.

As with all thoughts related to my work our home supplies and much much more cause I have to handle everything alone here it's not like I can't but I miss my home sometimes even cry myself for this as people are quite rude here some talk nice but do not give the home vibes but some people's treat me as some kind of cheap rag like they even care about anyone's sentiments but what can I do as I'm in there country.

Once I was at the railways and saw a old man struggling with his luggage I thought of helping him but I was going to touch his luggage and about to ask that if I could help him so he just suddenly snapped on me and started to shout on me he was too loud that people started to look at us and some even recorded and even laughed no lie I was in tears was trying my best to stop them but few slipped out and I just mumbled a quite sorry and ran out of that place and ran back to my home.

And this event led me to meet 'him' for the first time cause I took leave without applying for it. The next day I was called at the CEOs office usually he is not there at the company everyday because he has some overseas meetings and audits As his schedule is a bit like of course he is the CEO but gladly he was there at the company that day as usually the matter is handle by the lower authorities itself but to my good luck he was present there I usually hear a lot of my colleagues talking about him I never really showed interest and any of the conversation related to him as I never saw him and it's not like everyone and the office wants to talk to me as same as outside the treat me foreign but now I am habitual to it as I have to stay here.

When I was called in the office I was but nervous of course everyone would be as I heard everyone saying his a bit intimidating I could just feel the aura from out of his office I softly knocked two times on the door nervousness evidenced in actions train from the other side of the door a commanding voice ordered me to come in I swear I was so dead just by the voice but somehow managed my calm I entered into the office I quick glanced at him I saw him sitting as he was the boss of course he is he told me to come forward and sit on the chair with the table I was expecting a earfull but what he said left me bitwised.

He casually started to talk about my performance in the company of the last 2 years he made me aware that my performance was quite good then my position (I am in financing department) after a while talking about my performance the analysis in everything he suddenly said something by which of the stunt.

"He gave me a promotion"

I literally had no stop to my happiness at the moment he congratulated me and told me that if I kept working like this so one day I would be at much higher position then this and wish me welfare for the future and even shake hand with me his grip was quite form and suddenly out of no wear I started to think that his hands and my hands fits so well like a puzzle piece to another and his cold hands make such a stark contrast with my warm hands. I shook my unnecessary thoughts off my mind and looked at him one last time and took my leave from the office.
