Mikha Lim's Point of View

"I am here for Ms. Cray Mendez?" I told the receptionist. I know I am too early, It's still around 4 o'clock pero mas pinili ko nang sumabay sa girls sa sasakyan dahil pupunta daw silang theme park at along the way naman ang Mendez Hotel.

"I'm afraid she's still not here Ms. Mikha, does she know that you would be here?" The receptionist asked. I already knew she would say that.

"Yeah but I guess I'm too early. Can I wait at the lounge nalang po?" I asked pointing out the lounge here inside.

"Of course ma'am. I will call a staff immediately to attend to you." She gestured the lounge area that's a bit far from here sa front desk. This hotel is obviously huge, the structure is very similar to the King Hotel in the korean drama 'King the Land'.

I thanked the receptionist and walked towards the lounge. Upon reaching, I sat on the long sofa and observed the place. This is my second time coming here, our campaign is yet to be scheduled kaya hindi pa kami nakakapunta ulit dito as a group.

I'm really excited for today, I've spent the rest of the afternoon planning for everything we could do for tonight. I even took notes just in case I forget some of those plans. I smiled at the thought.

A staff offered me everything they have to offer but I politely refused. Everyone here is accommodating.

I've been playing with my phone for almost half an hour when I spotted a Black Jeep Wrangler in front of the main entrance. A familiar guy came out of the car and opened the passenger door. There I saw Cray carrying her usual three bags who just got out from the passenger seat, but she's also carrying a shopping bag. The guy must be the Governor she was talking about.

Do they usually do this? But I don't think so. One time I saw Cray at Starbucks was she was using her car. Maybe her car is in the maintenance right now or something.

I saw the governor suddenly pulled Cray for a hug. My eyes sharpened just to make sure I am seeing things clearly. Why tf is he hugging her?

Cray even hugged her back. Are the two of them dating or something? But Cray said last night that he's always teasing her and she sounded displeased when she told me that. Or maybe the governor likes Cray but she doesn't just feel it?

Soon they waved each other goodbye and the guy left. I just hope i'm wrong when the guy mouthed 'I love you'.

As Cray was approaching the front desk, I focused on my phone and pretended not to have seen her yet.

She invited me to come up at her place and so we went up and finally arrived at her unit. This one's big of a penthouse. It has countless seating areas and the kitchen is so big. A sideboard with full of picture frames hanged caught my attention.

She finally explained why she's not on the family picture seen on the internet. This just makes me admire her more. She sees things positively, and she's very humble and down-to-earth.

My eyes shifted to a small frame, though small, knows how to attract attention. Cray and the gov were hugging each other in the picture. They looked sweet, too sweet. The governor’s arm wrapped around Cray’s shoulders, pulling him close, both of them smiling as if sharing a private joke. A pang of something sharp twisted in my chest.

"Is he the governor you were talking about? You two seem quite close." I commented, trying to hide an unwanted tone that wants to come out of my throat.

"Yeah, I think close enough that I'm getting sick of him," Cray replied with a shrug, her tone nonchalant. It didn’t do much to ease the strange tension building up inside me.
