Jisungs pov.
Certainly, this is not how I imagined my life to be like. Had somebody told the younger Jisung that I will end up as one of these professional bodyguards, he would have probably broke out into laughter, thinking you just made a giant joke. But I have to admit, it could be worse.
I am not the same person I was in my teenage years, and looking at myself right now I can confidently say. The job fits.
I earn good money, have status and my boss had just promoted me. His words still ring in my head as I plot down on the chair at the bar:"Now you work for me, I hired you as my personal bodyguard because your boss claimed you are the best. The creme a la Creme, the cherry on top, if you will, my expectations are high and if you have a slip up I will exchange you within seconds.
However working for me has also his advantages if you stay on my good side and simply do your job. I will offer you a world full of opportunities and connections you can use. I see ambition glinting in your eyes and I can help you reach new heights."
Changbins eyes glitter and his gaze tells me that he is quite satisfied with his performance.I force a slight smile on my face, this is my new boss, make a good impression, Jisung. I flex my shoulder and look the man in front of me straight into his eyes, who seems to think of himself as the great Gatsby or something. And I have to give it to him, his performance was quite charming.
Pare that with his expensive dark blue suit and his self assured expression. He had quite the charisma, despite him lacking a bit in height."I understand sir, I will make sure to live up to your expectations." I say, making sure to keep my language and mimic professional.
"I certainly hope so, Mister Han." He said, with his head raised in the air. I try to read his mimic, his eyes are focussed on me, his mouth kept in a straight line, lips pressed together.
"Ah ah don't be so formal boy." Changbins unreadable expression breaks. "If you will stay at my side 24/7, locker up, be a bit more causal."
he snorts out, his face now mirroring one of these smiley potatoes."I appreciate the offer, but I like to have a clear line between work and my personal life, you are still my boss." I say, forcing a smile despite the tension in the air.
"Ah come on, you are what two years younger than me? We are pals, man. You'll make me feel like I am hiring a new statue for my backyard instead of a bodyguard." Changbin laughs while walking back to his big armchair.
As he makes himself comfortable I can't help but notice the resemblance it has with a throne. This is his manor and he is the ruler, no matter how much he jokes about it now."You know you are here to keep me safe not to give me a heart attack with your stiff demeanour, even though I am sure there maybe some out there who would enjoy that. " He says lightly.
"And that is why I am here, Mr Seo."
"Call me, Changbin. Maybe that will loosen you."
He interrupts me with a smile, he really does look like he is only a couple years older than me.
Maybe this will be more pleasant than I thought. However
"We should talk about those people, I already got some information from my boss, but it was a little vague, maybe you can tell me more"He signs, "Always about duty, I like you already, Jisung? Is Jisung okay?" A rhetorical question, we both know that. He has the power it would just be silly to disagree with him, and he knows that."
"Sure, no problem sir." I answer quickly.
