Milo Saint-James has scars.
Some are old and faded with time, from the life he used to live, leftover from his childhood. But there are new ones as well. Fresh ones.
There are two on his chest. Identical scars. These, he is proud of. Despite the fierceness of his love for them, it is because of what they represent, what they mean to him and the rest of the world, that Milo has dozens of new ones.
Covering his arms and the insides of his thighs, they once kept track of the days for him.
Each scar marks a different moment of pain for Milo.
But none of them are as important as the scar over his eyebrow. Like the other scars, this one has a story. But it is this story in particular that Milo desperately wants to forget.
